Combining the power ascender with regenerative braking could be a good combination that greatly increases the battery life, a lot of the energy used when ascending could be reclaimed when descending.

@@jonasandersson7367 being powered from something other than a battery would remove a lot of the benefits of regenerative braking and this device in general. Do you really want an engine right next to your face and maybe inside too? Regenerative braking works well with electric drive systems, it works with hybrid too but doesn't quite have the same benefits due to needing both an engine and a motor. The ascender wouldn't need to work any differently to how it currently does, it would just need an esc capable of regenerative braking.

@@101perspective nothing about the design said that it could ... but says that it can unlock handcuffs , and it can , so long as they haven't been double locked ... zipties can be brute forced , or the sides of the square clip can be squeezed , or you can jam something flat and narrow inside the griplock and undo it that way . Basically there are a lot of ways to undo zip ties

@@sanjurohanamizuki6181 My point was that unless it is a cop arresting you or something then your are more likely to be ziptied. Anyway, no big deal... just thought we were listing obvious ways it could have been improved in the event you are restrained.

The bullet resistant suit is cool, but I didn't see any indication that the suit has trauma plates. Without trauma plates, being shot while wearing bulletproof clothing can still kill you. Without trauma plates, the trauma from a bullet impact will cause broken bones and damage organs. A shot to the chest, for example, can punch bones into lungs or cause the heart to stop. And, the larger the calibre, the more trauma a person will feel.

Those rear view spy glasses have been on sale in many different formats but basically the same product. Even in the back of comic books since the 50s, maybe 60s at latest. These guys have probably only got patents for type of glass used, or some process of manufacture. Definitely NOT for rear view glasses.
