I was honestly super encouraged by how they played after Vassell and Sochan went down for the season.

Champagnie absolutely deserves more love. The guy is developing very well as a 3-and-D role player that can guard multiple positions. His size and mobility are helpful traits for that. He's also learning how to play solid 0.5 basketball offensively. I'm also gonna give Mamukelashvili some credit here too. Not necessarily because he's a perfect defender or anything, but his rebounding is very useful. Limiting teams to one shot w/ Wemby on the floor is really helpful to the team's defensive performance.

I'm really hoping champagnie turns into another Danny Green project

We need 2 of three things this off season a starting point guard, a nice piece at the 3 or a good back up center

Here's the deal clan we won those games at the end with backups and wemby. I can see your point if the starters were playing. So the other teams like Denver took the spurs lightly because what they saw a bunch of backups. the spurs winning those games, messing up chances , at getting the number one pick. I dont believe winning a few games at the end of the year provides momentum for next season, which is 5 months away. Because teams get better in draft and free agency

as u said clan, the last 10 games of the season, lotta teams dont care much. ALSO the spurs were fighting hard to beat their historical worst record... so that analysis is a bit biased

6/10 of those games are important games because those are playoff teams who are contending for playoff spots. They are improving their chemistry.

@@pgiivanlennardesguerra8300 u didnt get my point. OTHERS teams didnt care, especially vs spurs and they didn’t play hard. The spurs did…

Guys please, Champagnie had 3/4 DECENT games at the end of the year, please don’t forget the 40 games before that where he was posting 0/0/0/0/0 statlines the entire season and not defending that well, he’s a bench player, don’t let 4games at the end of the season fool you

He was the worst starter in the league for 95% of the year. Clan’s take on this is ridiculous.

I don't think anyone is saying champagnie is turning into some all-star, and he's definitely talking specifically about the end of the season. Of course, it doesn't mean he's going to be great and the spurs are gonna be a contender next year. No one is making these big time projections. We're simply saying that there are bright spots coming from role players that can contribute in the coming future if they continue to play high IQ basketball. That's all. No need to read further into it.

  • @rocksev21

So what if we draft brony in the second since he has good IQ

If they can get someonelike Trae Young at point and some other high IQ players they are a playoff team next season.

They're not getting Trae. There's already been some NBA insiders saying that spurs are more likely chasing dejounte.

What are you thoughts if Spurs find a way to move up in the 2nd round and draft Zach Edey? Just a thought.

Clan we should go after Buddy Hield and Tobias Harris and have Harris be our PF and have Collins on the bench and have Buddy Hield be our starting PG or have him backup Jones what you think?

  • @Leo-nc3yx

    @Leo-nc3yx

Isn’t Buddy Hield a 3P specialist and has always been a shooting guard rather than a PG?

  • @factsversusopinion3912

@Leo-nc3yx Did more research. Instead of Hield we can develop Tre Jones for our PG or get DLO from LA in free agency and trade Keldon for Wiggins. And get Tobias Harris in free agency. Our lineup would be C Wemby PF Tobias Harris SF Wiggins SG Vassell PG Tre Jones or DLO

When I see the games in the first round of the play-off, clearly the Spurs have a better game than the Suns, the Heat or the Mavs (their first games were horrible to watch).
