I dont do flat sprints i do hill sprinting 3 days a week. Monday Wednesday friday so i have 48 hours between each sprint day and 72 hours to rest over the weekend after completing 3 days of hard sprints. I started doing 5 sprints at maxim effort and added 1 sprint per workout per week. Im now upto 20 sprints per workout. My fat loss is unreal. The muscle I've built is crazy. Upper body not just legs. My stamina has rocketed. Sprinting is the ultimate exercise us humans can do. Great video dude 👍

A tip that i learnt at ballet to get your legs higher is to think about the thigs, not the foot. Just focus on getting your thighs high and your foot will go with it 👍

I didn't know anything about sprinting as a teen. I used to do calve raises in the shower religiously . By the time I was 15 I was dunking with ease. I also ran a 4.3 in football. Now I'm 36 and significantly slower ,I can still dunk but nothing spectacular.. speed adds to the lift imo

Thanks so much! aside 3-4 workouts with weights and bodyweight, i was already doing a one week hit training with 5-6 sprints after 15 minutes walking and some jogging. I waited for each sprint to have normal breath and hart rate like nothing happened to do the next one. But never knew this is so effective (i was surprised i had to recover 2-3 days really after one session) There is so many tips in this video i will have to watch it several times and start to optimize what i did.

I am trying to run more but I am also trying to transition into barefoot-style of shoe wearing and walking and this video is perfect for that! Thank you I mean I found other videos that explain the Sprint drills but they don't tell you what each of them do and why you do each drill. I love all your videos that I've seen! I think that sprinting and running techniques are similar to power lifting techniques they actually inform on normal everyday movement and you can learn so much from these even not being a powerlifter or being a sprinter.

I am concerned about sprinting on the track or even grass because of risk of trip and fall (I do have osteoporosis). So started using step machine with the arms in the gym for my sprints. I do 10 sprints 15 seconds duration, 3 days a week. Do you think I am getting sufficient cardiovascular work to achieve my goal of visceral fat loss? Thank you.

Hey, is it a good idea to firstly start with jogging, then commence my way to sprinting as my body gets used to it. Or should I firstly start with sprinting, im confused. I never ran for 4 years now, well as I was 12 I used to be very athletic. I want to feel that feeling again, where you can run as fast as you can while feeling the wind again. But I need advice, how do I start it out. Do I need to start jogging first.

PED and genetics are addressed in the beginning of the video, that plays a role for sure. However, swimmers are a better comparison, and their shoulders are pretty jacked too.

I did a speed test at school, and I got a medium score.... then I got frustrated, and went to the field, I could feel the wind on my face, and a voice told me to run, and to not stop.. at that time, I did over 30 laps, now im with a burning feeling to get faster and faster, but im too new to sprinting, would some of you have tips for a begginer?

Be consistent, stretch, warmup thoroughly, record your technique, lift weights, and time yourself.

Can the step 3 be rope skipping ?

That came to mind when viewing the bouncing drills. But rope skipping involves very different arm motions than sprinting.

It's similar but this movement allows you to focus more on power with each bounce.

You actually wrong about the rounded back affecting air intake. I have a masters in voice and deal heavily in the breathing. It’s a misconception that the chest up pulls air in. It actually contracts and squeezes the breathing system. I’m not saying it’s bad for sprinting I’m just saying it doesn’t affect the breathing.

sir, when i'm at my top speed... My Rhythm is SO not in balance . I don't know if i should focus on knee drive or quickly flicking my butt with my heel .. YELP !!!

If I had to pick I would focus on the knee drive since the leg recovery depends on the knee drive and will auto correct if you fix it.
