Beautiful natural lighting on your range. I hope you continued to give this gun more range time. Very rarely do I see anyone having an intuitive mastering early on with this pistol. It took me over a year to say I have become proficient with my Hellcat micro. But along the way, I have learned so much. Unforgiving sight radius, Hard target focus, Bob Vogel style grip, support hand importance, drawing and higher sul to push out from eye level to never hunt for the dot, mechanical leverage of the trigger, the list goes on. Went through 2 aftermarket triggers just to return to OEM. It was never the gun, but the operator in my case. Now, I shoot the Hellcat as if I just point my finger at the target. Nothing replaced all OEM now, ate all types of ammo reliably, I can trust it.

I think the same way you do about red dot optics on pistols. People can still use them but I agree with your points on them. I think sometimes people feel like they need to keep up with tech and innovation but some things are better left alone and the old fashioned still works better at times.

Everyone LOVES that cat from hell pull it holds more rounds then ANT microcompacts! Plus optic cut read & a rail! As soon as I have some extra money I’m buying one forsure! Those Croatian Slavs sure can make a great pistol and bullpup

I love the overall reliability of the Hellcat and it feels solid in the hands, I'm looking forward to replacing the trigger but not making any other changes to my EDC.

You nailed it is with your video. I've had my Hellcat for a few months now and the more I shoot it the more I like it. It is my primary EDC . As a side note some of the sights are a bit off . I was lucky and mine seems to be centered. Very accurate for it's size. Keep up your point of view, very refreshing. Thanks

Great review. I’ve been trying to decide whether to get the Hellcat or P365 to replace my Shield that I’ve been carrying for years. Your review was very helpful and (in my opinion) better than most of the other Hellcat reviews I’ve seen.

Definitely love my Hellcat. Good out of the box. I slapped an Apex trigger on it and huge difference. Love your content, Andrew. Glad youre back!🤙

@@GY6vids Like every else, however, I tend to shoot a bit left with the Hellcat. I might need to tap the rear sight to the right a lil.

Hopefully you tap the front sight over and try it again that would be really good to see even if its only a real quick vid to see how it goes . Another bloody good vid mate .

Same thing with mine out of the box. High left. Easy fix and I love it.

Been uploading for the last 1-2months

I purchased the basic version this past weekend and I couldn't be happier. I initially had forgotten about the Hellcat and was I was looking at the S&W Model 638, $520.00; the Beretta APX (unavailable); Beretta PX4 Compact, $475.00; Walther PPK/PPKs, $810.00; Glock 26, $575.00.... Springfield Hellcat, $510.00 ! The "sister" SIG was never up for consideration because of several recent incidents of trigger/sear issues. The Berettas were on the larger side, and I was specifically interested in a piece that was compact enough for ED CCF that I could carry in honor of our Governor who just signed a Permitlesss Carry law for Honorably Discharged or General under Honorable Conditions Veterans who are not otherwise prohibited from gun ownership. When I handled the Hellcat, I knew it could end up as a new issue for "007". With the 11 rd magazine with pinky rest/flat mag bottom, It's the same dimensions/specs as the Walther PPK with more power, and twice the capacity. And $300 cheaper ! I can carry it in a horizontal shoulder, ankle, IWB, or pocket holster. I carried the S&W J frames on duty in the 90s, & always qual'd "Expert" but wanted extra rounds and accuracy. The trigger is a bit heavy, but I'll think about a spring upgrade after a few hundred more rounds if it hasn't eased up. Not that it means a whole lot, I did like that it came with the test target that was standard for some European manufacturers (Walther, Springfield, H&K, CZ,...)

Hellcat owner. My iron sights were off out of the box. Once i adjusted the sights, it was much better.

As usual a top notch review. Really like the comparison of other compact concealed weapons. Thanks for including the Shield in there. I have one and love it but the Hellcat is interesting. I'm with you regarding iron sights on these smaller weapons. Once again I really appreciate your obvious hard work and quality productions.

I appreciate the new format Andrew. Your the first reviewer to talk about the stand off. I got a Hellcat shortly after it was released. For me, I prefer the 365XL. I do like the HC and it still sees some rotation for summer carry but generally I carry the XL because it seems to fit my hands a bit better. Anyhow, great video 👍

My ol lady has one of these and I got to shoot it. I went with the Hellcat Pro, because my giant hand fits it better. It’s nice when you can do a round for round comparison between the two.

I just bought my Hellcat🖤🔥

I prefer the Hellcat over the Sig P365. I like the Hellcat so much that I own two Hellcat's and a Hellcat Pro. I shot far to the left with iron sights with all three pistols when I first shot them but I have a Wheeler Engineering sight pusher tool so I drifted the dovetail sights over till I was shooting straight with them. I can't remember if I was shooting high with the Hellcat's. I wasn't with the Pro. It's been a long time since I've shot my Hellcat's. I always carry a Hellcat. I feel the same way you do about red dots on conceal carry pistols. I carry the Hellcat model that can't accept a red dot. It has better, deeper, rear slide serrations than the OSP model does. I plan to use the Hellcat Pro for a bedside pistol after I get a red dot sight for it and get it mounted and sighted in after this winter is over with.

I was shooting left too with mine. My cousin also got a Hellcat and shooting left, too. When I put a red dot, I noticed the U notch was not aligned. I drifted the rear iron sight and now its perfect. I think Springfield have some problem aligning the sights on the Hellcats in the factory.

@@GY6vids I hope this would gain traction and Springfield will re-check their quality control. I don’t know if they are completed imports from Croatia but big hassle when you get a new a firearm and first day in the range, it’s shooting 2 inches left and you have to get tools or pay somebody to fix it. Or worse, novice shooters who can’t figure out what’s wrong (my sights appeared completed centered but I still had to drift the rear).

P365 is too small for my hands. My G26 feels a lot better. Im at the point in my life that small guns dont matter to me and id rather have a gun that fits me like my G20 or G45 or G30. Great review as always! 😎👍

I like my hellcat not a single malfunction yet, I'm probably Going to do my Enhanced CCW With it, Although I have thought about adding grooves to the back of the slide to give more grip.

Great video, I really like the P365x for CC the grip fits my hand great, very easy to shoot and conceal as well.

The iron sights sold it for me. I want one. That rear sight in particular is SICC

Just something I noticed personally, I like the front site to be as centered as possible on the slide, and the windage to be drifted into the rear. Seems easier for my eye anyway. Maybe see if it makes a difference...? And yes, we were still watching.

I appreciate a professional! My hellcat shoots the same! Also had some issues with slide locking back when I shoot hollow points! Ball ammo it locks back!

I bought a used Hellcat and had the same issue with the factory iron sights. All of my impacts were left of where I was aiming. It was my first time using U dot sights also. U replaced with Night Fision suppressor height sights.

Yep mine was hitting high left out of the box as well. I drifted the rear sight to the right just a smidgen and it hits center now just a little high still. Definitely Springfields fault on the sights. Haven’t added a rds yet but plan to in the future. Mine has been 100% reliable with about 700 rounds now. Good gun for what it is but not my favorite. I’ll hold on to it for now because it fits a role and is reliable. As far as my mouse guns go my m&p shield 45 is still my favorite, it’s more accurate for me and less snappy even though it’s a 45 acp vs 9mm

Mines been 100% amazing, I hate the sights though. Worse than Glock stock sights.. I'm trying to trade mine for a gen 5 G26 just to keep magazine compatibility. I've had a 50 gun collection and now all I own is what I can carry, except ammo 😂

With the discount, the magazines even the 15-round capacity will be cheapest getting it from Springfield than anywhere else. Also got good discount on the holster.

Unfortunately for me here in Washington state its a felony to own a 15 round mag. I really wanted to get it for increased mag size and grip size but my local gun store was like "Do you want a felony?".

I like your style with your vids. Question- why not drift the rear sight a tad to the right and then try again? Theres a ton of manufacturers that do not set the sights dead center anyway.

The grip safety on the XDs don’t feel nature to me either. The XDME grip feels a lot better to me. However being a 1911 owner, I don’t like the Springfield grip safety. It’s shape is odd

Wow! Just subscribed to your channel….. Excellent video….. I own two Hellcats …. Don’t have a ton of time with it on the range yet but I already know I’m going to like it better than the p365? For me, it feels better in hand for a small gun…. I think it’s a better ( built) gun than the p365. I like the the response of the trigger on the Hellcat… The guy at the gun store said he didn’t like the Hellcat because it reminded him too much like a Glock? I happen to like Glocks ( don’t love ‘em) . Too many people are brand loyal ( or haters?) A lot of Sig guys don’t like Glocks vice versa? Anyway I’ve owned both and I preferred the Hellcat… I think it’s a stout, reliable litter tack driver that I won’t know for sure until I start shooting it a lot… Texture on the gun is 👍…. You video was educational and enjoyable…. I hope to see more videos in the future.👍👍

The Hellcat has a unique firing pin that makes it seem like primer drag but it isn’t.

S.A. "gave" you the gun and a lot of fluff? Suppose they are working hard to compete with mega monster Sig. Id find the safe, red dot, etc. to be a nice effort. Sig would ask do you want a 365 o.g., xl, macro, Spectre, Spectre X, Spectre Tac-Ops? Would you like it in coyote, Rose, gold bbl. and accents?

If the Red Dot places itself in front of the front sight, how do you take advantage of it since you won't see the dot on the target?
