Springfield Echelon / Unboxing and Initial Impressions, Full Sized carry option?
I decided to get the echelon. I wanted to do a quick review before I hit the range and share my initial impressions. This gun to me fits the bill to compete in todays market and even though it holds many of the same attributes as other pistols it also seems to have a few tricks up its sleeve. From the stippling that has just enough texture to please everyone to the slide cuts that allow for ease of manipulation from the front and back or the sights that allow for quick target acquisition and even the mounting system allowing for 30+ options, the Echelon has the goods. I feel the same way.I got mine a week ago and I was supposed to go to the range last week.But my stepfather was not feeling well, but we are going first thing in the morning.We'll be there at ten o'clock when they open can't wait😊

I've heard so many people complain about the polymer guide rod assembly, yet Glocks gen 1-3 were polymer with no issues. Already seen stainless guide rods are available for it. I might get one since they're only $20. We'll see, mines identical with the 507C

I don’t feel it will be any issue, and yeah you’re right Glock has been doing it for years without issue. I too saw those but I’m gonna hold off I think for now. Good optic choice!

I was thinking at first that it was all hype myself and that’s why I held back on getting one. I had other full sized 9mm’s and thought they performed fine. I will say though that after getting it and shooting it, it is easily my favorite full sized pistol. The grip angle and comfort really sold it. It’s been years since I’ve owned anything made by Springfield so it’s not like was a fanboy that had to have it. I just really enjoy it.
Torn between that optic and the 507c Comp.
