You should do chapter 3 videos with all your old generation (gen 2, 3, 4) glocks and a gaston glock tribute video with every glock you and john own! We need glock videos that arent about gen 5 red dot fairies or black boys with their “blickys”. Too many of those on youtube

I own Echelon, 320XCarry gen 1 and G17 gen 3. My EDC was my 17 until the Echelon. I have a lot of custom work done with my 17 including a stainless guide rod and custom trigger work... lot's of time and $$$. Echelon outperforms my G17 with only an apex stainless guide rod...trigger pull is heavier by 1.5lbs but consistency and predictability are the key..... chassis system is going to win hands down!!! Love the Glock simplicity, just wish they would innovate.

Own a Glock G19, G17, G30s, and G45 (my favorite). Own a Echelon and a Sig P226 Legion SA/DA. I like the Echelon but need to get used to it. The Legion, in my humble opinion, is a good gun but better off for bullseye shooting than anything else due to the high bore axis. If I'm going to war? With what I've mentioned above, it'll be one or all of my Glocks, hands down. The Echelon might find its way into that category, but it hasn't proven itself to me yet. Completely reliable through 300 rounds, but my Glocks have all been reliable through thousands of rounds over the years. Good comparison video. Thanks!!

From a personal point of view, I still prefer the XDm model from Springfield armory. I own 1 XDM in 9mm with the 5.25" barrel full size/duty pistol. I've rented the models you depicted above and still find the XDm as good or even better from an ergonomic point of view. I do own/prefer my all metal beretta 92FS and my other metal pistol, the Sig 226 from the latter 1980s is my bedside/nightstand "go-to" for those bumps in the night times.

Cheap stuff, steel case…so on. It just does work. Its my favorite pistol to shoot next to my Shadow 2 which obv isnt fair since its all metal. But my shadow 2 is also the best shooting pistol i think ive ever shot. And ive been lucky to shoot quite a few over the yrs

As always, I appreciate Hickok45's knowledge of and opinion on firearms, to say nothing of his superb shooting skill. The SIG Sauer P320 series has just never appealed to me. Why such a very high bore axis on a striker-fired pistol? A gun notorious for firing if dropped, as well as self-firing even when holstered. No thanks. However, I do love the all-metal hammer-fired SIG Sauer P220, P226, and P229 series of pistols, especially in their DA/SA SRT frame-mounted decocker configurations. I carried Glock Gen3 and Gen4 pistols for almost 10 years, and I shot them very well, better than my old SA XDm pistols. However, I migrated away from Glock beginning in 2019 to the S&W M&P 9 M2.0 series of pistols because I shot them better than I shot my Glocks. For me, the M&P M2.0 pistols are just easier and more natural to shoot very well versus Glocks. IMHO, the M&P M2.0 series are superior to, and offer more bang for the buck than, the Glock Gen3 and Gen4 series. I've never picked up a Gen5 Glock, and at this point, I'm just not interested in them. The SA Echelon, I have to admit, does seem very appealing. I'd seriously consider one in 10mm Auto (presuming it's proven reliable), or at least .357 SIG. I'd want it with a frame-mounted ambidextrous manual thumb safety - a feature that I would personally like to see as an available option on many a striker-fired pistol in general. Good things! 👍

That it falls apart when dropped. That plastic backstrap insert held in by a screw in take down tool is ridiculous. They need to make the full size line a homogenous frame like the Shield. How on earth do you figure the 320 wouldnt be there withut glock? Glock invented nothing original in the G17. It was literally a combo of parts that had already been used for decades in a variety of other handguns. The Echelon is a direct rip off of the glock, sure, but the Sig actually has several features no glock ever made has.

@@nomorerainbows Did you know that hamburgers used to be unpopular in the US? Wasn’t until White Castle made the fast food burger popular here in the US. Then came Krystals, McDonalds, Burger King, etc. Point is, what would have motivated Sig (Or anyone for that matter) to make a striker fired polymer framed handgun if it was not for the success of Glock? Prior to Glock the only common commercial polymer striker fired gun was the HK VP70 which felt like a staple gun that fired 9mm. Companies chase success, Glock did nothing new, but made this idea successful better than anyone had before. Gaston was the trend setter, everything else is history.

@@nomorerainbows Brotha, I really hope you are trolling and are not really this dense. I literally agreed with you that Glock did nothing original, Gaston simply took existing good ideas and made them into one product. He proved the model, so other companies followed. Let me ask you though. Since you disagree, if not Glock, which company/gun made every single major firearm manufacture want to make their own striker fired polymer framed handgun to compete in the market?

@@drepop803 completely untrue when you buy the gun you should get a 20rd and a 20rnd base extension for the 17rd. mine did and as long as you install it proper with the wedge out they wont malfunction and you get 2x 20+1 magazines

@@sh0ts420 he's half right. SA apparently redesigned the extended mags, most likely to address the falling apart issue. They now have a slightly different design and should be widely available either now or very soon.

I own this Ashlyn, and it's the first or actually. It's the second gun that I did not put a Talon grip on it. But you have talent grips on the Glock and the P320 so. To compare the Ashland that doesn't have any talent grip on it. I don't think it's a fair comparison. You know, as well as I do that. Your gun feels better with a Talon grip on it. And the Glock has 2 layers of Talon grip on it, so don't make a fair comparison until you put a Talon grip on that Springfield. 😊

I just hate how the p320 frames all feel like they are made to be immediately trashed and replaced. There are 200 dollar guns with higher quality plastic. The 50 dollar replacements are so much better than what you get from Sig. Echelon and Glock have great quality frames. The Echelon looks great I just dont want an ambi mag release. It should be something that is removable for whatever side you want it on.
