You always get the perfect balance of Glenn's phenomenal knowledge, complimented by the guide who knows and cares about his local patch. Another stunning video, with beautiful shots, helpful tips and great information.

I just found you guys, and totally love your approach!! You've opened my eyes to things in the outer banks I've not known. Keep up the great work.

Love the photography advice. A caution on permethrin tick repellents: they work really well, but they are are very toxic to cats. Keep treated clothing and gear away from feline friends.

Like everyone else will say, great vids! Always look for your shows on the tube. On average what month would you say is best for the Outer Banks. Also could you please spell the tick repelling ingredient word for me. Thanks in advance.

There is no BEST time for the Outer Banks, it has lots to offer year round, but I'd say late summer is the slowest time. Spring and early summer are great for a variety of birds, mammals and the horses. Fall through winter is spectacular for waterfowl. The OBX region is legendary for millions of ducks, geese and swans. The tick pray I use is called Permanone with the active ingredient "permathrin". Recently several different companies have developed a similar product with the same active ingredient.

The Natural History Channel do you ever make it out to the piedmont areas? You mentioned wood ducks nesting in trees. I wonder if they are in my area of piedmont/Sandhills?
