I live in a place where spring is honestly kind of lame. It’s either winter or summer, no spring signs other than tons of rain and mud. That’s how it is every year. I always tell myself to think about how it’s spring when it’s spring because I never really realise. This year I did that. I found it was just either cold like winter or warm like summer, like every year. I thought that until I saw this pear tree I see on my walks. It had leaves again. It was a lovely sight. Across the season, the leaves budded and turned into lovely light-pink blossoms. The petals would fall on the ground and make a petal carpet on the ground. They only stayed blossomed for a week, but every time saw them I was filled with awe. Pear trees are by far my favourite trees now. maybe spring isn’t so bad

Update: I can’t believe it’s been 2 years!! things have changed a lot, and i no longer pass the pear tree i mentioned in this comment before, but i now walk past even more pretty blossoming trees in spring. since this first comment, my life has had some really bad times, but generally i think it’s changed mainly for the better, at least in my mentality. maybe i’ll update again in a year or a couple more, but thanks again Rachie for this gorgeous song

​@@waterworks_yes I'm glad you're doing well. This song has also touched me in a way. I live in a place there you can feel spring, but this year so far it hasn't really come. The only thing that really signifies it is the tons of dandelions in the yard, and the crab apple tree blooming with the honeysuckle bush. Although I'm too young to actually have a life yet, I realize I'm more mature than most my age. I appreciate it, since I get to think more logically, and be able to enjoy the small things, even if it doesn't hold that much importance to me yet. Thanks to my parents, I have dreams I want to chase, and goals I was to achieve. Basically what I'm getting at is that I've learned to enjoy the life that comes with the season. You might not remember, but the plants always do.

Spring Thief I believe is a song about how a person's joys and happiest moments slip away from them gradually, like how Spring comes in its grandeur and beauty before fading away to allow the summer to come. Spring represents joyous moments, and it can tangibly, visibly slip away from you like how cherry blossoms come once a month every year only to disappear, to the point you can practically count the flowers still left, watching them slip from your fingers one by one. "I can't bear to lose this view." I know many people, myself included, can never bear to lose their happiest moments. The passing of time, however, is as inevitable as the earth spinning. It holds no concept of patience. There is no Spring Thief, no single culprit to one's stolen happiness, there are only flowers fluttering away into the wind, making way for the rest of your life or whatever moments may come next. "Still so much to say, spring has blown away."

Gosh, this really does just sets the mood how eventful and new spring could feel. At least I for one would say it's one of my favorites, but also has to be one of the most torn times because how exams and nearing the end of another school year have always been stressful. Yet by the end of the season I typically feel calm and a sense of hope of what's going to result from what has already occurred. Overall, this song just displays those overwhelming thoughts or feelings so well. I'm glad you covered this :D

it's my birthday 18th birthday today, i feel as if i'm going to have more responsibilities now,. I'm really anxious about the future but this song made me feel at ease thank you, your voice is really great, and i definitely needed this
