By all means do what pleases you, follow your star and have a great time..but, trust me..life is full of surprises, some of them out of the blue..and..when you LEAST expect them!! Interestingly, it was my ability to enjoy my own company, that (I am convinced,) prepared me for being what Rick calls 'the best friend/right wife a guy could wish for!!"

This was Betty Hutton's final film (1957). According to Betty herself, she received no viable film offers after this film. Betty was lucky to get this film because she had walked out of her Paramount contract 4 years earlier which basically caused her to be blacklisted in Hollywood. She again walked out on a film in 1967 which only contributed to her further demise in the business.

Thats pretty funny. Yes I've noticed that they tended to put older actors into roles that were obviously too young for them, thought we wouldnt notice! lol!

all these young people who don't question Leo DiCaprio as a 22 year old FBI Agent or Keanu Reeves as a 19 year old FBI agent bitching about the ages. altho I do agree. they should have used their actual pictures of their youth in the yearbook; why not?

Betty Hutton was only a few years older than she was playing, close enough really. Dana Andrews was a decade older than her though, so yeah.

Although it fleetingly captures the loneliness of some of its principals, it is largely a nostalgia-ridden and unimaginative comedy-drama that makes its points haltingly and without impact. Like the members of Carson High School's class of '41, 'Spring Reunion' tries desperately but fails to make its rosy dreams come alive." Spring Reunion was a screen comeback for actress Betty Hutton, her first film in five years since her departure from Paramount Studios in 1952, after the completion of the musical Somebody Loves Me. Although Hutton's performance was praised by several critics, the film generated little interest and failed at the box office. It was Hutton's last feature film. The film opened at the Astoria Theatre in London, England in late December 1956.

Just listening to the beginning of the movie I’m so happy I found this to watch instead of the crap on Fox CNN and msnbc. We need to stop watching those shows while their increasing they are increasing their incomes, they get rich we get nuts!! Watch pure good old fashion movies so the brain recalibrate to calm peaceful mindset I turned my cable off. I haven’t watched tv in 3 months. Don’t listen to the News unless I have to get weather. We are being brainwatched!! Time to watch pure movies without sex drugs and cursing. Tv is killing our minds. Watch these great movies when life was good!!! Also the less we tune in, their ratings go down and maybe we all align ourselves to basics.
