Аккуратный ты парень. Если мне придется аппендицит удалять - тебя буду просить.☺
Great video as always Tely. I really like that you are not just making knife videos, and that you are showing one of the un-shown parts of knife making (making your own tools and fixtures).

Thanks. I am glad you liked it.
Every new project is a way to learn something. Good Job Slavik you are the number one :-)

And you are #2. Thanks.
Супер, подручный инструмент всегда нужен! К болтам ручки привари что-бы не мучаться с ключём постоянно!
When I saw "Spring Loaded" I though you were gonna make a spring loaded knife. Rip dreams :(
Great job! I don't know where the ideas come from. But talent is an understatement. Keep the videos coming.

I look at what other knife makers have for their jigs and I combine them together to make something that works for me.
Your Videos keep getting better and better!
Just like all of your videos, this is areally clever project and well done. I never thought of using the pipe jaws on the bench vice like that. really holds the fixture securely and still allows for all of the movement you need.

Благодарю за комплимент.
I'm definitely making one of these. Have a small one now but plan on building larger knives as I master the trade, so I will need a larger knife vise. Love the idea that it is spring loaded in the full open position. Thank you so much for all of you videos. I've learned so much and love your ingenuity to make due with what you have.

You are welcome. Choose bigger opening height wise than I did so you can fit thicker blades.
Thats awesome. Proof that Necessity is the mother of invention.

It was an overdue needed tool.
That's awesome! Can't wait to see some knife builds using that. :D
Just looked at Nick Wheeler's knife vise & your addition of the spring loaded top plate is a significant upgrade to the design. I'll be shopping some of the components tomorrow!!

Built my Spring Loaded Knife Vise base mostly on your design. I mounted mine on an angle base I made from 2 - .5'x4"x8" aluminum plates bolted together. I'll be clamping to my bench at various locations to see what works. I still have the future option of having a pipe welded on the end. But presently I do not have a nice beefy vice like yours. If I had a way I'd send you a photo if you'd like. Thank you for your many great videos - I've learned a lot watching your builds!!! David
Nice. I wasn't sure what you were making at first (the thumbnail looked like a video game weapon for a cosplayer or something), but it turned out to be super useful and a great idea.

Очень полезная приблуда! Только зачастую такие вещи делаются из того ,что в гараже ( под рукой) валяется.а тут нормально зелёных набежало! За работу и видео однозначно лайк!
Nice some folks just don’t get it some of us just like making the tools we use for our self’s part of the experience plus look at all the knowledge he just passed it Thanks for sharing

I like watching SLAVIK TELY. A craftsman's mind is on display. Thanks for posting your videos.
awesome idea!! now you're able to get more radius and get to different angles on the knife vs the regular vice!!

Csgo: Bayonet, can we get some love for the m9's little brother?
Slavik, I'm so frustrated! I am making several sanding jigs and planned on sending some to a few of my favorite knifemakers, you being one of them! DANG! Some of your design is better than mine however. I like the Aluminum and rubber idea better than wood, and the springs are a much better idea. I think your design is better than mine. goodonya friend!
@SLAVIKTELY

I do not like sanding (block) jigs because you waste a lot of sand paper when you have to wrap about 1 inch of the paper around the block. I use 3/8" G10 scales and they work perfect.
Man what a wonderful invention! I love out of the box ideas!
คุณทำได้สวยงามมากๆและหน้าชื่นชม

Wow, Thank you. I just want you to know that depression is only in your mind. If you change the way of thinking then depression goes away. I understand life might be though and that leads to bad thoughts. I have been low in my life before because of the financial situation I was in but I know you can make it. One step at a time. Thanks for watching and I am glad I am able to make your life a little bit better one day at a time.

That is the nicest knife maker's vise I have seen, very well thought out. The only suggestion I'd have is to change the hex bolts with winged bolts.

awesome, thank you very much sir!! can't wait to build one. love the videos, keep them coming.
when you think about it, that thing you fixed on the wood to store your piece... you can fix another one in a Wall or in a structure so you have more space to work... Because of you im starting my own knife xD started with a bar of 25x 3,8x 0.4 centimeters damascus hehehe you really got me into it. when finished i will send you Pictures just to have an opinion. keep up the great work, like you always do!

Great job Slavik!!!
Tely, you should use an empty brass Cartridge (from a rifle) to clean the shavings (idk Google translator said it is the correct translation) out of your file. You have to squeeze the cartidge in your Vice to make it flat, works better than a metal brush in my opinion (sorry for my bad english, i'm German) ;)

Very nicely done! Thank you for sharing your time, skill and idea with us! Video was technically well done also double thanks again!!!
I was wondering where a flange would fit in a vise project, never tought it would be used as a hanger.Nice project.
Finally took the time to watch this. Now I need to build one :D
Very good job! Thank you for sharing!
Great build video - I had seem your video a while back and am now getting ready to build my vise. The spring loaded top plate is brilliant!!! I'll check out Nick Wheeler's build also. Thank you for sharing!!! Happy Holidays!!

Works like a charm.
I tried the m-77 spray on the rubber and aluminum, let it dry , just like you did. Dint work the knife keep sliding out . So I used 80 grit sandpaper rough up the aluminum and rubber . Did the same thing wit the rubber on rubber and used super glue, worked like a champ. I even tried silicone and the rubber would just slide out. Nice video BTW.
Хорошая приспособа, чисто для удобства
