Beautiful but it's not how I remember it when I was there! We got stuck in Queenstown for 4 days because all roads out were closed by landslips due to 'the flood of the century' in November 1999 when it was reported that almost 2 metres of rain fell in 2 days. There was more rubber dingies in the streets than cars.
