Correction: The two main Islands always are referred to with the definite article, "The." not just North and South. I loathe these computerised narrators who mispronounce the Maori. Wahnahkah indeed. Wanaka Is pronounced One a ka. All short syllables. Ugh! Can't cope. Outa here...

When pronouncing Maori words don't run the whole word together, pronounce each syllable separately.

I agree Amanda. Good effort by Scenic Hunter but lots of errors as you spotted. Not sure if it was one of those computer generated commentaries but the pronunciation wasn't the best. Anyway, I hope it attracts visitors here.

So many grammatic errors.

New Zealand real name is Aotearoa, it already had indigneous ppl with a rich culture living here, the Maori pplchad been here for 1000 yrs b4 the European came along and the rest is History, dark history

pity the narrator just read the script rather than checking the local pronouciation of place names - pathetic

OMG you totally butchered place names both English and Maori. It sounds really unprofessional and makes the viewers think you have no idea what you are talking about. Honestly it doesn’t take much to Google how to pronounce place names. And you can’t drive the Queen Charlotte Track. It’s a walk. Look - whatever pictures you used look pretty but the actual information content is cringe worthy. How about sticking to making videos about things you know about?

How could you put out a video with indigenous place names,without finding out how to pronounce them first?, very unprofessional.

Pardon for the mispronunciation and inconvenience caused. Since we are form different nation, some issues raised with the pronunciation of the names of the places. But we could rectify most of them in our North Island video. We are sorry again for the inconvenience caused to you.
