    The level of foosball play from both these two is just off the charts. If you've played (and I did) they both are jaw dropping.

    I'm going to be very honest, I think Collignon is the best, and I hate the snake shot, but this guy Spredeman is amazing, the control he has with his wrist deserves credit, it's extremely difficult to control the ball as he does, faking to one side, compared to the front pin shot, where is easier to do that with the palm of the hand. For me the best players are these two guys no question about it. I have seen this match many times, I enjoy seeing these two masters playing against each other.

    Collignon is a better overall player. Spredeman is just dominant on Tornado tables, but he can't transfer his skills to other tables like Collignon can. FC is the GOAT.

    Rico is always intimidated by him on Tornado for his 5-bar. But his game is so effective on all tables. A brush and chip pass, front pin, and 2-5 pass can work on all tables. But Tony's unique 5-bar can't really be applied on Euro tables due to the shape of the men, he'll def lose the ball. I heard he uses a near-side brush series. IMO, Tony should go far wall brush on the other tables since he's superior in reading defense on the far wall. A far wall stick option series could work, right?

    Can you explain this ruling for new players like myself? I'm getting my first table tomorrow. It seems like the pass was perfect because it was clean. Is that not the purpose, to pass from bar to bar without being caught by the opponent's players? Sorry if I seem foolish, but I'm really interested in learning the rules. Thanks!

    Then you'd be wrong - the ball was never stopped or pinned after contacting the man closer to him, it was kept moving (albeit for a long time) and he was therefore free to pass it. (I'm an official referee, believe it or not.)

    As Im watching this, something kept bugging me about the audio and I just realized what it is. They're at World;s and you hear no other shooting in the background. You usually always hear tons of other games going on. Did they suspend playing on other tables while this match went on?

    tassay I hear what you're saying, but I don't believe it to be the case in this video. I live in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, only 25 minutes from where they used to hold the World's tournaments. I've been to several and I don't recall them ever having a separate room there. Now I didn't go to every one of them. so it's possible Im wrong about that. But I think it very unlikely. The other possibility is that sometimes the Doubles and Singles final championship matches will go late into the last day of the tournament. And it's likely they have started packing the rest of the tables up.

    I was never a fan of the 3 man bar "pinch shot". I never got very good at it, but I can block the majority, where they can't block the majority of my multiple shots. The only place these guys kill me, is 5 man passing. Even if I can make more 3 man shots than they can, (back when I was peaking), you can't make the shot if you can't make the 5 man pass to the 3 man bar.

    They should ban snake shots on all foosball tables. Collignon refuses to use them cuz he considers it cheating. It's like a noob spinning the bar around. But if they ever ban those idiotic shots nobody would ever beat FC anymore. In 2007 Collignon didn't lose a single match and he played Spredeman 11 times that year!

  • @tassay

    anc can you give a reason for banning them. spinning is not allowed because its just luck if the ball goes into the goal but you are not gonne telling me that spredemans snakes are lucky. it might be easyer to learn the snakes buts much more difficult to master them

  • @AlexZander688

    @AlexZander688

    6 жыл бұрын

    Oh quit your whining. Snake shot is legal and legit. It's not my favorite shot be any means. I prefer Collignon's front pin or Loffredo's pull shot. "Spinning is defined as the rotation of any soccer figure more than 360 degrees before or more than 360° after striking the ball. In calculating the 360° you do not add the degrees spun prior to striking the ball to the degrees spun after striking the ball." Collignon and Loffredo prove without a doubt you can have a different shot as your money maker. Collignon refuses to use a snake because his front pin is awesomely brilliant. And all the top snake shooters can shoot several other shots. Moore has a wicked pull shot from goalie. He can shoot that from front also. Spredeman can shoot several different shots also. There are other reasons to why the elite champions win on a regular basis. The money maker shot is not the main reason. Reading the defense, timing, execution of shots under pressure, passing from the 5-row under pressure. Catching and snagging those loose balls flying around more than your opponent to get extra attempts from the 3-row. Knowing your opponents. Collignon and Loffredo the best all-time players because of their mental game, not their physical game.

    The rule I hate is not serving the ball through the side wall hole. True, you can serve the ball to yourself, (make the ball roll to your bar), but you can still mess it up. Just giving the ball to the other player reminds me of socialism in some respect,---and I hate any form socialism with a passion. Heck, if I go out to eat, and the server share tips with the other employees, (socialism), I write my server a check for the tip, to cash at her/his bank. I did not get any service from the others.

This is like hosting a chess tournament in a daycare. They should have laughed, picked up the table and moved to a local bar or bowling alley, Like the places a foosball match should be played.

    I can respect the skill, but when I was growing up there were two kinds of way to play. Fastball and this garbage. Passing within the same bar was a big NO NO. We called it Jits and it was about rebounds and catching angles with the 3 bar. I'd love to see these guys in a game of fastball. This is WAAAAY to slow.
