In Germany the Snakeshot is called "Jet" because the Nickname of the Player who used it first, and a long Time only, is Jet. :-)

Is this event always going to be held in Dallas from now on? Or is this event one that travels around, every year in a different location?

I feel like one of my criticisms I've had watching Sullivan's matches before is I thought she didn't shoot the middle/split enough. Certainly not true now, she feasted on a bunch of those in this match. Great match from both teams. Stahl and Kronk looked poised to run away with it in game 3.

Foosball is so addicting that when you first start playing it you walk around shuffling your hands frantically back and forth battling some invisible foe over some imaginary table. Life means for us to constantly transform all that we are into light and flame.

Funny to hear Fred still living in all these foosplayers heads rent free ;-) . Btw I can imagine a rougher atmosphere back in the days in American bars vs European, though this is kind of a generalization. Europe has its fair share of fanatic lunatics lol and here in Holland next to a small amount of ITSF players, there used to be, still is(?) a subculture of coffeeshop players using different rules and less "pro" atmosphere.

Whether you like it or not, you ARE competing for the small niche audience that you have available. You are fighting, and losing, that audience, to people that are doing it right, instead of making excuses why they're doing it wrong. Saying the product is bad because it's not profitable, and comparing yourself to a "community service" and The Salvation Army is not doing yourself any favors. With a good product come customers, not customers first and then good product.

We all view these things through different lenses. For me, foosball is just something that constantly needs to be “put away” for the real world. For Jim, it was something that occupied most of his adult life, but is becoming a nostalgic interlude as he has moved on to a better place professionally to take care of his family. I think that’s what you are missing. If another product/service/value proposition comes along and we lose subscribers and are no longer solvent, or even collapse as a company, that’s just how business works. We’ll do what we can, as long as it doesn’t interfere with what really matters… our true livelihoods and our families. Every subscriber makes the choice with their wallets, what streaming service is worth their time/money. That’s a good thing, and the road will end wherever it ends. Peace.
