A few weeks ago i got 44 tons to put on one of my driveways. I have a L2501DT Kubota, it is always fun to work with rock. now all of my neighbors want there driveways done. 44 tons was 950 dollars here so i hope i dont need any for a wile.

One of the first things I did when I bought my B2601 was to order 40 tons of gravel for about 400 feet of driveway. I had never used a tractor before. I was shocked at how fast I got that rock spread around.

A day on the tractor spreading stone is always a good day for me... You did a good job, and I agree that the land plane would have worked even better than the box blade...

I have both a land plane and box blade plus landscape rake. It’s fun to play (work?) on a long driveway. Good work Ed.

Only use stone now for wet grass areas. Did the driveaway a decade ago with rotamill and almost ready to patch it. Considering it is down hill and usually everything washes out it isn't bad.

@@MyClutteredGarage 110 heat index. So hot, but at least it was humid! Got it all spread and ready for the next layer.

I just spread 4 yards of 5/8 minus on a water-membrane for a 10x20 barn roof shed and that was a real workout using a rake. Later I grabbed my hand dolly and flipped it so the blade would spread the gravel and that helped speed things up and not be so hard to do.

Looks good. I have been getting 40 tons at a time and some times 80 tons. When my contractor is not around I spread it with my Bx25. 😊 Does the job.

That is some nice, clean looking stone Ed. Nice shots from the drone. This is the kind of work where the hydrostatic shines. Almost looks like you have been taking lessons from Mike Morgan on spreading rock. Mike holds a black belt in spreading stone. Well done Ed. Planning on hauling milk Monday and it will most likely be a late day so I may not make the live stream.

No, just 3/4 stone. Might be because there are no local quarrys.

Hey Ed....curious what the 20 tons cost? I had 22 tons of crusher run delivered for about $675, one trip, though. We're down in the east panhandle of WV.

About $750 delivered. They didn’t charge extra for 2 trips since they are nearby. Last year I paid about $300 for 10 tons.

I hope you realize the truck driver Lied to you. He spread gravel when he dropped the 2nd load
