Of course spray wax for ease of application...And ICE line (although is not prosumer grade ) is phenomenal.I would call it the giant killer!!!
I love how u test things and think of us NON pros.. appreciate it
Do not underestimate the finish and durability of the old-school Hardshell especially with several layers with proper cure time. It applies and wipes away more than easily. Just because it's old-school doesn't mean it's not relevant. The stuff works and works well. Had a uninitiated colleague set a case of wine on the roof of my car 24 hours after a coat - not only was there no scratching but the case actually slid practically all the way off the car! Of course I'm now doing life for f'ing killing him...

Cool video, great content; user friendly tips that make it simple to follow. I would recommend the spray wax over the the liquid.
Just subscribed to this channel after watching this video. I also watched the video of Car Guys “hybrid” spray wax, which led me to buying 3 bottles of the ice spray wax for less money than 1 of the Car Guys products. If it wasn’t for you exposing these products, I would be spending way more money for an inferior product! Thank you for your honest reviews of these products and keep up the great work!

TW ICE was a gamechanger in the industry
I like using both Turtle Wax spray products (Ice and Seal and Shine Ice) to spray on as I dry my car after a washing. I personally still like to use my buffer and elbow grease with my favorite Meguiar's Mirror Glaze Pro products as my base coats several times a year. I dont feel right just using a spray wax as my base coat but in between heavier type waxing. I will say that with almost 30 years of experience detailing, I am floored by the Turtle Wax spray products ability. I have noticed that a lot of places have recently upped the price a couple dollars on the Turtle Wax spray waxes probably because of these tutorial videos.

Great video series you got Jimbo. But hey do you think just using ice spray wax as a drying aid is enough to protect the paint and keep it looking slick or would it be more of a topper to a more traditional wax? Anyways thanks for the videos

either way will work great - its a very versatile product
the TW ICE paste with a ICE spray follow-up is a terrific shine and protectant. The ICE is great as continual use or to use as base layer for future actual wax applications be it Hardshell or other carnuba's… The new ICE Seal & Shine spray actually combines both synth and carnuba - the finish and longevity are sick! All in all you won't find a better line-up for the buck and ease of use.
I used to use Meguairs synthetic xpress wax and turtle wax ice paste and spray wax regularly! Not bad products! But I discovered car pro reload and sonax BSD! Car Pro Reload and then BSD on top provides great protection. Let it cure for a day! Lasts momths

I've used numerous polishes and waxes throughout the years. I've found some amazing products. It really does make a difference on your environment. If you live where the weather is mild with alot of sun then any of the products will work fine. If you live where the seasons change from sunny to raining and then harsh winters, then other products are better for protection. It's been my experience that Turtle Wax makes high quality products that work in any climate. I use F11 on my motorcycles because the shine is amazing and I keep the motorcycles spotless. I don't care for the price and probably won't buy more. TW spray wax/polish is my favorite and will be until I find a all around better product.
You should test out the Turtle Wax Ice Liquid Wax. Even more impressive than the spray version.

I'd love to see a review of Sonax spray and shield! I'm an AMMO fan myself. But I have stopped using AMMO on my Tundra because I burn through product. As seen in these videos I can achieve similar results with more economic products (I'm liking Sonax right now) . I love the people that can't handle honesty. Even Larry himself will say "Use your favorite product." I'll use the expensive stuff on my GT86 and keep it reasonable for the daily beater Tundra. Thank you for the honest reviews.

Jim, I have now watch 7 of your vids....very enjoyable. Now that you have a shop, it would be great to toss that old door and find a newer, dent free one. Perhaps a trunk lid so you can demonstrate sitting water on top and fast runoff on the down bend. Talk about the gloss finish more. Sure beading or evaporating faster is important. also many folks who own loved cars can't wash by hand anymore. I'm 64y/o and bad knee is painful. So $20 unlimited car wash is my go to place especially in the winter. Stu

Great to be part of your videos Jim. keep em coming. Stu
Thanks for your vid...
What is your opinion? I use an aircraft grade wash and wax on my black 2019 Infiniti Q50S about 3x a week. I dont wash it ever and have only pressure washed it at one of those pay and spray places like twice in about 8 months. So I keep my car well spray waxed. It's super shiny and many people tell me they can see themselves in my car like a mirror when I drive by. What do you know about ceramic sprays? They are not wash and wax type. I would have to wash mine and then put on the ceramic spray. Black attracts dust fast, so I would have to pressure wash my car at home and then wipe it down between sprays. It's just faster for me to wash and wax the car rather than having to bust out the pressure washer and do all that. Am I right or wrong?

I have both the 2011-2012 version and the newest version of the liquid wax. Haven't done a test yet between the two but I will say I live the 2012 version. If using ice, I use a layer of ICE paste, then a layer of ice liquid, and use the spray wax after wash and detailer when needed. I spray wax every dry down, its a n brainer really especially if you buy 5 litres bulk, you really dont ever have an unwaxed car. I then look at the shelf of hard waxes and wonder why i bought them. I guess... gloss? depth of shine/darkening if its even a thing? Id prefer to spend time rubbing in a glaze then spray over with protection
My world wining is spray it on and wipe it off. Let the product itself will do the miracle what matter most to me is how they make the product to bond to the surface is the key, unless they use less chemical to protecting the surface otherwise the spray make more sense to me to use it!

Great choice
nobody does a dust or dirt dust test which are actually the things you're to keep off the car like who sprays straight tyre cleaners or iron removers on their cars most people just deal with sun, dirt, dust and rain. splash a bit of dust on it then hose it off with a garden hose
In australia these are over $25
The apples to apples comparison here would be Ice Spray Wax vs. Ice Liquid Wax. I've found that the cheaper green-bottled Express Wax and Wash & Wax (same line as the hard shell) are significantly less durable than Ice Spray Wax.
Too many damn different wax products out there
Not good test. I could spray with Thompson's and shed water. Paste wax actually improves finish and protects. And liquid wax petrol based so strong degreasers are gonna strip it faster than rhe silicone spray wax. Spray wax is meant to be a touch up to an already waxed car. They are not competitive products. They are part of system.
Puts to bed the stupid, anecdotal bullshit that spray wax is only good for touch up in between paste or liquid wax applications. The new spray waxes have come along with significant advances.
