Thanks for a great video. I very much relate to the part where you fill the wall cavity with foam. I have old house with 2x4 walls that needs better insulation. I am doing an exterior envelope insulation for wall and roof. Remove siding/shingles to wall/deck, fir with 2x4 plastic Eco-Stud, install first horizontal row of OSB on studs , use additional 6 in screws, put arm in cavity with Foam It Green spray foam gun with straight nozzle, fill enough for 6 inch lift, repeat next cavity down the wall, at end of wall start over at first cavity, repeat with second lift, repeat to top of OSB, add next 4 ft row of OSB, repeat , at top use 2 ft or 1 ft tall OSB. Result, no over spray, no waste foam, no foam trimming, very strong wall/roof like a Structural Insulated Panel SIP, @ 3.5x 6= R22 wall, low air infiltration. Then do regular siding/roofing. Comments?

What type of gun are you using?. Preferred chamber unit size?
Glad you got the work but the engineer needs to brush up on the lose from metal in conduction.

Dan, The parapet sits right on top of the roof and is structurally tied into the metal trusses underneath. The roof insulation cannot go to the edges because the parapet is in the way and has to brace against the roof decking. The columns and the track needs to be insulated or there would be a 6" gap around the perimeter of the building with no insulation out to the curtain wall. It needs to be done.
What are your feeling on injection foam on old construction of a home? You have the old batt insulation still in the wall does it compress it enough and fill the wall correctly with the insulation still in the wall?

Open the walls up and get things sprayed in proper.
What about the thermal bridging from the pipe itself? Or was this just to purge the void of possible condensation?
I'm thinking to use 2 inches of closed cell spary foam to insulate a box truck - but If I want to later install windows and need the wall thickness to be 1.5", is there a way to remove 1/2 an inch of the spray foam? Thanks,
