I switched from Apple to Spotify for the personalization of playlists, On Repeat, Repeat Rewind and the end of year Wrapped plus you can follow and see what others are playing at that moment in real time. It’s more of a community. Spotify has really helped me discover more music than ever before. Music is life.

I have both my brother gives me he’s Spotify family premium and I have Apple one witch includes Apple Music in it! I use both on the Apple car play. I love how easy is to find my liked music on Spotify witch creates an album in it. And got Apple Music I like the lyrics in every song.

@@scottpittman825 Spotify and Apple Music has your favorite mix and they do a good job! but as far as finding popular new music I’d say Spotify by a small margin. The app layout is easy to find songs and what your friends are listening to. Them both apps are very alike. Apple Music kinda copy a lot of good things Spotify already had. Also creating playlist is much better with Spotify.

whats personalization of playlists

I keep switching between the two. Currently on Apple Music. Love everything about Spotify, but to me, AAC from Apple Music sounds better than OGG from Spotify over bluetooth.

I use Spotify and have done so for the last 5 years, but I will say the lyrics feature on Apple Music is actually really cool and I wish there was something like that on Spotify. Hopefully one day both of these services have filter songs by language! I have so many songs from a few different languages and it’d be nice to be able to filter.

Great review! as to why you don't have more thumbs up on this video is beyond me. Both Spotify and Apple Music are great platforms is basically up to the listener what they prefer. For now, Spotify works best for me. You earned a new subscriber.

Such a great video man, thank you so much! I'm a 5 year Spotify user, but my roommates are planning on subscribing to the Apple music family plan and they asked me to join them. Honestly I had 0 knowledge about Apple music. But being a 5 years Spotify user, having an Android phone and after watching your great-non-biased-video, I've made my choice to stick with Spotify and it's awesome features. Thanks again man, great content!

Spotify has a sleep timer that allows you to stop playing AFTER you have finished the track you are listening to. This is probably one of the main reasons I’m still with Spotify.

@@aryanabbas6538 If I want to listen to the whole track it's because I don't want interruptions. Having to ask Siri to perform an action during the track I'm trying to listen to would kind of be like taking a phone call during a live concert. Kind of defeats the object.

Apple Music was already good with lossless and Dolby and special audio and now apple one bundle it’s cheeper, sounds better, and is better on IOS!!!! I had Spotify for 6 years and made the switch this year! The playlist transfering was nice and easy! Apple Music lyrics is also better!

it's really a matter of who can fill their gaps first: spotify's shuffle serves itself horrible because it ends up playing just a small fraction of my library or playlist on hand - i don't know if this has to do with streaming revenue and cherrypicking artists or just bad shuffling service .. but i mean, it's just shuffling and it shouldn't be hard to input apple is getting better with autoplaying related music to tracks you like, but not as good as spotify. i tend to find so many more songs and artists on spotify while apple mainly recommends popular takes, pitchfork-reviewed artists (lol just a joke), etc. i feel spotify finds that nuance in why YOU like the track. also, crossfade is amazing. if apple just gets a better song recommendation + crossfade, and platform-switching, then they win (for me, that is). if spotify fixes its shuffle problem, gets a better UI (less messy, but keep the black-green aesthetic), then they win. spotify does have better, wider community though. plus i heard AM is horrible androids too

I use a Windows 10 laptop and the Apple Music app does not work at all well so I moved to Spotify which works great in Windows and IOS.

I would not be able to switch from spotify, it is just so much better imo. 50% of what I listen to are also downloaded down because it is remixes etc so switching would take so much time😂🤷‍♂️

For the PS5, I choose spotify. For casual or workout I choose Amazon unlimited for quality (which is basically equal to apple). Sorry apple🍎. Apples lack of random mix is just a deal breaker for me.

Let's clarify one thing. I used Spotify "Free" for a very long time, the amount of ads is _way too much_ The fact that I can't listen to a specific song, ads are always a constant over and over, _6 skip every hour_ .... I can't say that way is a good way to listen to music

Well you need to remember that Spotify wants you to enter a paid subscription with them, so it’s natural that they make it as much of a annoyance as possible and you also need to remember that ads is how they are able to keep it free, if you don’t like the ads, it’s just a tap away to become Spotify Premium subscriber.

The biggest difference in my opinion is how easy it is to “Move” the music you play from your control device to a streaming device, and the Spotify connect feature and integration in streaming Audio equipment wins all the time. The reason, Spotify functions as the remote control but the actual music is pulled directly from the Spotify Cloud to the Spotify connected speaker. You can turn of your control device and it will keep playing that sweet music on the streaming Audio Equipment. Apple’s way of remotely sending music to devices is Apple Airplay and it is a one to one system meaning the Phone is the actual source of the music so if you run out of battery, leave out of WiFi coverage or end up turning of your Phone the music stops every time. That is the dealbreaker for me, Spotify Connect pivotal.

I was told Apple has less Chinese songs than Spotify, anyone can confirm this? I just started using a DAC Amp FiiO BTR5with Sportify, can hear that music got better. How do I find out the bit rate of music I’m playing

I’m gonna watch the video but first I’ll just say: you can’t download all your music at once on Apple Music (or at least you couldn’t until a year ago as far as I know, maybe now that’s changed), instead you have to go for each artist, then album and only then you can download the whole thing. It used to take me a good hour and a half to download it all every time I changed phone, I need to be sure that I can access to my music at any time no matter what, even when I got no signal, and with Spotify it’s literally just a button. Also the emails from Spotify for new music are based on your preferences, whereas for Apple Music they just send you whatever crap everyone’s listening to, which is just not my thing. Some artists are missing on AM, too, and I can only play them on Spotify. Granted the yearly subscription for AM comes out cheaper in the end, but I’m ok with spending the extra money for the convenience and if you need to change the stores country for whatever reason you can’t do it until the whole year has passed (happened to me when I moved from Italy to Australia, it wasn’t pleasant). The one game changer for AM IMO is the real time lyrics, but that’s it. Quality is no different between the two to my ears as long as it’s all set to very high quality in Spotify Back to the video

Why is it that spotify only has the download all option... I'm using Pandora and it doesn't have that option either. I just spent 2 hours scrolling through all my songs and individually downloading them... But pandoras atuo play beats spotify or AM, but everything else sucks.

How bout KZread premium with KZread music
