@metalcorehardcorepost-hard3649

@@nikoraasu6929 Well it seems he prefers Deathcore now because in his last video he literally said that "Metalcore is limited" (as if Metalcore bands didn't evolve at all) and he said that Deathcore is so much "more interesting" because of "new innovations" and "trying new things"... (as if Metalcore doesn't have any innovations either, ridiculous)... He even argued that because Deathcore is more popular on fucking TIKTOK so it must be more interesting than Metalcore... Oof cringe. Yes, it is true that Deathcore evolved and grew a lot in the recent years, especially "Progressive Deathcore" ("Shrine of Malice - Carnal Beast") which has become one of my most favorites. But then again, the same is also true for Metalcore as well (Progressive Metalcore, Melodic Metalcore, Electronicore, Symphonic Metalcore, R&B Metalcore, Nu-Metalcore, "Ambient" Metalcore).... Just because Deathcore is currently more popular on TikTopk (and it's only 1 song from LORNA SHORE) really means nothing, This app and its entire communty is total cancer to begin with. I bet Metalcore can also be popular on TikTok if it's marketed on the app (afterall music is only a matter of exposure, the more it gets exposed to the people, the more popular it will be) A perfect example is Caliban's song "Paralyzed" (Metalcore) it was very unpopular without marketing before, only a few 100k views, but then it was suddenly aired on Netflix in 2016 where millions of people saw it, and the view count of the song exploded to over 2.6 millions views instantly, because the average people fell in love with this METALCORE song and looked it up on youtube! This proves that Metalcore is just as interesting to the public as Deathcore is. Again it's only a matter what gets more exposed. If the mainstream media only played Nazi music, then the people would only listen to Nazi music... the average people don't give a fuck what it is, as long as it gets marketed and played in the media, so they can listen to it. Doesn't even matter what it is. The average people are simple as sheep, they take whatever they get. Anyway, popularity has never been a good standard to judge whether something is good or not, if that was the case to value something (like this dude is arguing) then Pop would be better than Metal, since Pop is literally the most overplayed Music in the world.... So is Pop really better than Metal? You tell me! This entire argument is complete bullshit! Metalcore is overall much more versatile and more diverse than Deathcore. There are so many more possibilities and different styles in Metalcore than there are in Deathcore. Just the clean singing alone already makes Metalcore more versatile and interesting, because you have both styles at the same time combined (screams/growling + clean emotional singing) which is much more interesting than just screaming alone (which is very abrasive and without any change, so it will get boring much quicker)
Surprised 7empest or Fear Innoculum wasn’t here, I remember people talking about how taylor swift fans were fuming about “getting beat” by “some other” band with 15 minute songs and stuff like that

My favorite 2010’s album is Nightmare A7X
Trivium, bullet for my valentine, breaking Benjamin, KSE, Five finger death punch. And one singular Crossfade album, We’re with me then, and still with me now every time I drive
That top 10 was a kick in the balls. Shame on people for not streaming Nightmare more......and whoever kept volbeat in the top 10.
Ayy, my old band played a couple concerts with Harakiri, this year and last. Unfortunately I was already out of the band at that point. I didn't know Harakiri was 2010s
Arson from Harakiri for the Sky is a very good album. And the band is the band that is different from all the others in that list. Almost all the list is metalcore.
I love most of these songs (but also yes would’ve picked few different songs for some bands like MMI Hey Mister is to this day one of my favorites) I think all my favorite songs come from this era 😂
This is the first time I see a Spotify playlist you "review" where the picks aren't a shame but actually decent picks.
How can Nick casually suggest KSE haven't released a recent banger? Signal Fire!
Spotify definitely goes more by song popularity than fan favorites. I mean, I like Volbeat, but they have much better stuff in the 2010s than just Devil’s Bleeding Crown. Same with Avenged Sevenfold. I understand that Hail to the King (the song) is one of their biggest hits, but anything off of Nightmare or The Stage would’ve been a better pick. Hell, even Shepherd of Fire off of the Hail to the King album would’ve been a much better pick. I know core kids (most of Nik’s fanbase) aren’t really into Ghost, but it definitely wouldn’t make sense to not include them. Again, I get that Square Hammer is their biggest song, but Cirice would’ve faired much better. I mean, they won a Grammy for that song, so it makes perfect sense.
It's crazy that The Human Abstract's Digital Veil didn't get enough attention. One of the most underrated albums of all time.
I’m just glad that silvera made it top 10. Definitely my favorite gojira song
how is Motionless In White and Asking alexandria not on here?? For example where is Reincarnate??

For real. Reincarnate or Disguise should be on here
I've clicked on it like 3 times nows and it shuffles new stuff in there so don't take the #1 to heart mine right now is showing Ghost- Mary on a cross.
Funny you say Low is "the architects song" when Shadows Inside is almost exactly the same riff as In Due Time (which copied an Arch Enemy riff if I remember correctly). Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery and all that.
I like that now this top is different, like completely, even top-3 is different
When's the Crooked Royals reaction video coming haha
The 2010s for me was hella Within The Ruins, After The Burial (so much ATB), The Ghost Inside and Stick To Your Guns. Also Born Of Osiris - The Discovery for like 3 years straight 😆
I can't believe I disliked Doomsday when it came out. I was sort of new into Architects, went bananas over AOGHAU and was excited to see a new song come out, and I thought it was weak. It's now in my top 10 songs of all time, of all of music and basically the first song I think of when I think of Architects.

It was the first album written without Tom but he had half written the songs already so they were still bangers a mix of both.... everything since Doomsday has just been.... meh. Doesn't hit the same. HOWEVER I am glad they are getting their message out to more people.

@@TheBanana93 it's fair enough that you don't like the new stuff, in my opinion it's good but not my favourite. But, I mean, it's their band and they decide what happens in their music. No one else.
I love Square Hammer, but if you are only going to have one Ghost song on your list, it better be Cirice.
I haven't seen the number 1 spot yet but I'm guessing its hail to the king or can you feel my heart
Yeah nightmare should have been on there and tbh megadeths album since it won the fucking Grammy
You'd think it would be Shepard of Fire cause of everyone streaming the shit out of it because of CoD Zombies Origins intro, but it's pretty insulting that's not Nightmare
I thought we were going to hear some Ten After Two based on the thumbnail... That album is a good, there are some crazy heavy moments on that one.
You have to listen to Harakiri For The Sky. It's absolute magic.
Reign of Darkness is my favorite song on that list. Love some Slipknot and Gojira too though.
Anything from Fear Inoculum? Whole this album is such a banger
The collective eyeroll when we hit number 1, The stage came out in 2016 and Nightmare actually dropped in 2010, get it together algibrithm
Long live to Hakkar dude you killed me on this one 😂
This is literally my go to station at work ..
Sorry the reaction on your face when you seen Hail to the King was priceless
I was not expecting Harakiri for the Sky. Fire Walk with Me is my favorite song from them. I'm pretty sure they're Depressive Suicidal Black Metal, but I just found out some people are calling them post-black metal as well. Also at 3:08, P2 was 2012, why'd you correct yourself? You were right the first time, lol.

Well, they're overlapping between post-black and depressive black. Both suit them well. Very good band either way.
What a time to be a highscooler in the 2010’s . So much nostalgia
I like how every A7X fan agrees putting Hail to the King above nightmare IN ANY POSITIVE CONTEXT is pure sacrilege
I felt that pain too when they picked Hail to the King, Save Me and Exist are A7X's best 2010 songs
After 10 years of fanboying..finally going to see Slipknot live tomorrow and Jinjer is the warm up band..dreams do come true
Hail to the king from A7X has grown on me but I will agree that it needed to be something from Nightmare. Shocked it wasn't BMTH also.
Pretty funny how Nik is talking about all these bands and I didn’t know like half of em until he got to Harakiri for the Sky
Honestly though, those top 3 are what Segwayed me into bands like (Old) Parkway Drive and BFMV. so, even though they definitely should not be there. I can't complain as I owe a lot to those three songs and those three bands
Sees metal *doesn’t flinch* sees deathcore * ogga bunga activate*
I missed Dragonforce and Arch Enemy for example. Pretty sure 2020s version of this playlist will feature songs of Electric Callboy 😅
I never heard of BMTH until just a few years ago. I didn't know they used to be a metal band.

Idk I love volbeat.
I'm a little surprised to not see any periphery songs from p1 in there. that album released in april 2010, so it counts.
