Agree 100%. I remember sitting back listening to songs made 25 years before when I was 15 and just appreciating some of the uniqueness and brilliance. Rarely do I hear modern songs show this which sucks, but I believe once we get out of this zeitgeist where mixing boards and auto-tuned voices ruin true creativity, music will shine again. Hoping it comes soon though!

Watching this during lockdown and so lifted by it. What an incredible and faithful performance of a fantastic song. ‘Classic’ is a word bandied around a lot - but this earns it, right? What a job that drummer does - just nails the original part without adding anything flashier, because that’s all it needs. Same wondrous and minimal fills, just everything good. The whole thing is an absolute masterclass. :)

I wanted to be with you alone And talk about the weather But traditions I can trace against the child in your face Won't escape my attention You keep your distance with a system of touch And gentle persuasion I'm lost in admiration, could I need you this much? Oh, you're wasting my time You're just, just, just wasting time Something happens and I'm head over heels I never find out till I'm head over heels Something happens and I'm head over heels Ah, don't take my heart, don't break my heart Don't, don't, don't throw it away Throw it away Throw it away I made a fire and watching it burn Thought of your future With one foot in the past, now, just how long will it last? No, no, no, have you no ambition? My mother and my brothers used to breathe in clean in air And dreaming I'm a doctor It's hard to be a man when there's a gun in your hand Oh, I feel so Something happens and I'm head over heels I never find out till I'm head over heels Something happens and I'm head over heels Ah, don't take my heart, don't break my heart Don't, don't, don't throw it away And this my four-leaf clover I'm on the line, one open mind This is my four-leaf clover in my head, my mind's eye (La, la, la, la, la) one little boy, wandering by (La, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la) funny how Time flies

I have mixed feelings while I am watching this. On the one hand the music is so amazing, on the other hand, to think what music our children hear today just breaks me down.

Absolutely stellar performance. As the years have gone by, I’ve become a huge Tears For Fears fan and this recording was truly amazing. Thanks so much for that.

They sound amazing! Songs from The Big Chair is a huge chunk of my youth. I wore that cassette out - kept me company to and from school on my long commute, listened to it at home, would fall asleep to it, too and so many years later, any song I hear from that album instantly transports me to that time in my life. 💕

Their quality and skill is the product of fifty years of hard work and it shows in their performances and quality. It shows the path forward is hard work and toil. Sing, play write, form clay, sew artistry and skill only comes from hard work.

Always loved Tears For Fears. Rolands voice is perfect for what they do. I saw him and Kurt back in 79 when they were in a Ska band called 'Graduate' They were great even then!
