Apple Music users, the best settings for you are on this short here: kzread.infoQdL8pvCO0SI
Okay so I did all that- and this person ain’t lying- ALL THE MUSIC HITS BETTER NOW!
Eq is also on your headphones or speakers, get a studio set if you want the audio to sound as intended
I’ve had normalization turned off for a long time and yeah it’s a lot better
LOL. EQ settings can be changed to your liking. It is nearly impossible to have it sound as it was intended unless you have the same studio speakers that were used during development.

Also maybe the speaker is to bright or too bassy and you want to reduce it a little bit, like, it will not ruin anything

Here's the thing: Most _experienced_ engineers won't be mixing to sound best on the studio monitors. There will be different masters for vinyl, streaming, radio, etc.

my eq made my left airpod break 😭😭😭
Bro with this “I don’t want to see tomorrow” hits different
Woah thanks dude I needed this
I agree with everything accept the EQ
And look at what the phone itself isndoing with the audio. Some has some automatic dynamic intelligent EQ that will wreack havoc on the audio. Had a text 2 speech program in two phones and adjusted all the setting etc to same to have the same tone and voice in new phone. The dynamic whatever hacked it up on a level it was not even in same ballpark. Turn it off amd its ok again.
I did it and it makes songs sound way better, thank you!!!

Wow this made the tracks sound clearer. What the heck is Spotify doing?

They're making it sound "good" to people who don't care about quality. People who only remember songs for catchy vocals.
WTF! THATS SO GOOD
Thanks so much it made the music way better
I didn’t even know Spotify had EQ settings, but I fiddled a bit with them and found what I like best for the music I listen to and MAN, it’s been a hot minute since I got goosebumps from listening to music I like

You didn’t know because you don’t need to touch it. Go flat or you’re ruining things for yourself.

@@SaltSpirits Yeah you don't need to but everyone has a prefrance and sometimes eq can help if your driver is overloading and sounds distorted, by eqing it out it makes your speaker listenable
If you truley want the best audio quality and ehar the music as it was intended, dont use speakers or headphones, use an in ear monitor. Cleanest and clearest sound quality
My guy, "audio normalization" doesn't compress the dynamic range. It just normalizes volume between tracks. Why would they even have that as an option?
and guess what? Even if you change these settings, Spotify will occasionally change them back to default for teh lulz. So when the Code Orange and Mick Gordon on your gym playlist sounds quiet, it's because loudness normalization got switched back on.
Equalizer is in audio quality for me.
Lmao I dnt have to worry about this on Apple Music💀
I cant find the equalizer thing in playback
You think my wifi can support high quality audio?
The automatic quality just changes according to your network speed
I can’t find the playback thing

When you are in Spotify, go to your profile icon in the corner (top left on mobile). Then go to "settings and privacy," from there playback should be the 4th item down. If you are on PC or Mac, go to the top right to hit your profile. Then click "settings" you will instantly see everything you need on that menu. Hope this helps!!
I dont have the equalizer setting

Some android devices apparently do not have access to this feature. That could be why
@SkyThat1Guy

@@Samwimer oh okay, that makes sense because I have an android
It works
not altrering the way the song was intending to be heard is impossible. unless u have access to the exact sound system of the studio and have access the the flac. any headphones or speakers will have a signature frequency response that can be made closer to the original sound in the studio with eq if done right

Here's the thing though - Experienced producers and mastering engineers never mix the song to sound good on _their_ studio monitors. They will produce different mixes for different sources - one for streaming, where you're using mostly phone speakers or low quality earbuds, one for CD release, which will probably have the clearest mix but is only CD quality, one for vinyl, which can't have too much transients or the needle will jump, one for radio with everything cranked up to max since radios don't tend to be in quiet environments, and so on. Oh, and, we never work with FLACs. A FLAC will only be the final mastered product. Everything, from the mic to the mastering engineer's PC, is done as a WAV.
Are the last 2 settings IOS exclusive or seomthing? I aint seein em

I did some research online, it says some Android devices do not have access to this feature. Maybe in the future they will!
"intended to be heard" oh boy do I have a funny thing for ya, you're audio gear is already altering it, and on top of that Spotify alters it as well by using a non lossless file format, "intended to be heard" is stupid to say as you're not listening to lossless audio plus you don't have the same headphones/speakers they used. and on top of that a lot of the music creating process isn't 1 person. there is no "as the artist intended"
