Let’s spot clean Toonie’s enclosure! She lives in 2 connected NiteAngel stacker series (63 inches x 17.7 inches). 🧼I spot clean the enclosure whenever I feel it needs some tidying, usually I clean her wheel every couple days since that’s where she tends to pee! 🌾Since she eats her sprays decently slow and takes her time I replenish them typically after they’re completely gone. She has a variety of wheat, oat, flax, sorghum, millet, canary, amaranth, pagima & delicha sprays!

Hey!! I have a male dwarf hamster that is a year and a half and I noticed the scent gland on his tummy is looking large and very yellow (some crust). I was wondering how I could clean it/treat it or if I need to go to the vet?! I hope you had a great week off, I'm excited to see this week's post!

My current hamster Rosey is such a lady when it comes to cleanliness. Her wheel is always clean, her sandbath isn't filled with poop or pee (she does enjoy getting sand everywhere, tho), and her ceramic hide stays clean. I still spot clean just in case, but she's pretty good at keeping things tidy. She's still sassy, brat, tho lol (I love her sm ❤)

Hi, this is my hamster history❤ I got my hamster, Snowflake from the pet store in a small hamster cage with no space for bedding .I didn't know that it wasn't good hamster care. Until I saw ur channel ,I learnt everything and made a big hamster enclosure with my dad that took us ages to make,I showed my mum and she said she would never put that big thing in the house.I knew that the hamster was stressed. He always climbed on the bars and bithem.I new he was suffering and I couldn't do anything about it.He died on 3rd of October 2023, I cried for 3 days.RIP.I still have the cage but I don't know what to do with the enclosure. Ty for reading❤

I wish I could post a pic to better explain it, but I placed a small ceramic acorn hide in my robo’s sand bath & she LOVES peeing in it!! Her wheel gets filthy too 😂 she has the exotic nutrition 9” silent runner wheel. The front snaps off easily, thank God!!

Hi Victoria! I've been watching ur videos for sooo long!! I watched them because I was preparing for my hamster, turns out that my parents bought her a 80x100 cm wire cage. I only have around 302$, I'm still a child,so I'm not going to be able to update her cage that much. My father is stillgoing to be building her an enclosure with my money the size of urs tho. But idk where to get the platforms, do u know any cheaper option then Niteangel?i do have A LOT of herbs, timothy hay and also like 6 wodden houses. If u could help with some non-diy options, it would be great! ❤ TYSM for ur help, my hamster is going to have a better live just because of u.

No 😁 There are a variety of sprays to choose from, and not all seeds are fatty. You also should be aware of which sprays your hamster eats very quickly to ensure you're not replacing them too quickly. Some sprays a hamster won't bother touching at all like pagima or delicha and these types can be good for just decor around the cage.

It was sent to my by niteangel a couple years ago, I haven’t been able to find any places that sell it.

The white stuffing is bleached and that is not good for the hampster I advise you use the birth one that is natural even though the white looks more aesthetic if you want you hampster to live a healthier life use the natural brown type of stuffing for the cage.

Almost never unless she is putting a different hamster in the enclosure because she takes out the spots where her hamsters pee the most

It could be that you don’t have the right size or if it’s a mesh wheel it will hurt their feet which will make them not want to run on it 8 inches is minimum for any dwarf except for robos which can do 6 inch Syrians need ATLEAST a 10 inch otherwise it will hurt their back and cause a permanent bend

But how can you find all that soiled bedding? You dig it all around? Especially when its often at the bottom. I found it really hard to clean when its 6 inches deep, and its impossible to do without destroying all his burrows and tunnels

If you’re providing a large enriching set up you should be fine :) I’ve had many hamsters in wooden enclosures and haven’t had one chew out yet.
