Vulcan S was my first bike after passing my full test. You described it perfectly when you said it's like sitting in an armchair. I think it's the perfect entry into the cruiser style bike. Japanese reliability and it doesn't weigh as much as a big Harley or something so it's very confidence inspiring.
Triumpth Thunderbird would be my dream.
There's definitely less cruisers available than there used to be unfortunately, but there are still plenty to choose from new here in the UK. A few options: - Honda - Rebel 500 and 1100, and arguably the Goldwing too. The 500 will feel a lot like the Vulcan, while the 1100 uses the Africa Twin motor and has a good amount of shove. - Indian - A broad range from small bobbers to massive baggers, for the American V-twin vibes with marginally less bellendery than HD. - Triumph - Speedmaster and Bobber, and the 2.5L behemoth that is the Rocket. - Royal Enfield - Super Meteor and Shotgun 650s, good looking little bikes using the popular 650 p-twin from the Interceptor. - and then the randoms and imports, like the MBP C1002V which is a Chinese-made, Italian-sold V-twin cruiser. Looks the biz, supposed to ride fairly well, but will probably dissolve in a British Winter. Cool though! Now, there absolutely are sections of the cruiser community who will look down on you for having a small parallel twin, like the Rebel or Vulcan. Then you've got the Harley crowd who'll look down on anything that isn't a Harley, and even half of their own range. But screw them, enjoy the bikes for what they are and don't worry about what people think. I hope you do check out some more cruisers, and more random genres and bikes in general, because it's always good to challenge pre-conceptions.
I've owned a 2016 Vulcan S cafe for 7 years now and it's been the best bike I've ever owned. Mechanically flawless and so much fun to ride. The seat is the only thing I can complain about, after about 90 minutes I gotta get off and stretch for a bit.
New sub here. I like your videos man. Funny enough, I have an Africa Twin, ZH2, and a Vulcan S. I love them all for different reasons. My AT is a Swiss Army Knife for anything I want to do with it, aside from a proper track/race day. MY ZH2 is my insane adrenaline machine that always seems to tempt me to do extremely dangerous things and speeds. My Vulcan S is my latest addition and I fell in love with it while helping my buddy get his first bike. Once I saw the low cost, I had to have one. It's a great machine. It is so fun to ride and a more "chill" experience, which is great since I don't always want my motorcycle tempting me to commit felonies. You should totally get one man. You won't regrett it, plus there are tons of aftermarket parts for them to make them yours.
Fellow ZX14R owner/rider here (2nd one). Also have a Vulcan 2000 for 2 up, 09 Concours, and 09 CBR600RR, Just sold my "cruiser" 02 VMax. It was a great option to cruise while maintaining the ability to scoot like a sport bike. A Gen 2 Vmax is next.
Hello.. The current Japaneese cruisers are mostly made with their standard high rev platform engines that go on everything. The low rpm, big toque engine feels more lazy and nice on a cruise style bikes. The thing is to take your time, get to comfy for you speed and cruise there for a long time. The nice one to try is Royal Enfield super meteor 650
I wonder if a Grom might elict a similar glee. It's awesome to see you trying many styles.
Looks very comfortable
Ape hangers (what we Americans call the high handlebars) may look ridiculous, but they add a whole other dimension of comfort of they're not super high. I'd highly recommend trying them! If you'd like higher torque, and you have access to the Vulcan 900, they're slower, but amazing.
a 2017 vulcan s was my first bike and it was a good one.
If you want a Japanese cruiser, look at some Suzukis. The M109 is a beauty.
If that's fun, imagine how much you could get on the kawasaki 1800 Vulcan cruiser those things are beast
Never ridden a cruiser, have always liked the look of the Diavel x, but not sure about feet forward.
If you want torque ride an MT-10. I've had one for nearly 2 years, they are crazy fun.
Goblin do a review of the Fat Bob 😉 👍
I have a keeway v cruise 125 as my first bike and love it. The indians are really nice
RE super meteor ❤️

I'm torn between the RE SM or Volcan. I like both but can only afford 1.
Honda Gold wing,, Suzuki intruder are big Japanese cruisers
Triumph Rocket? That's a muscle cruiser I would like... It has been something. I've considered, especially due to my health.. There are a couple of reasons that put me off. Price. Speed. Im not a speed freak, however, I do like the oomph every now and again. The high handlebars you're talking about are for choppers..Ape hangers they're called. The comfort for me is a big seller.. Glad you've done this vid gobs... Whats the exceleration like and the mid range on the Vulcan? Ive had Scooters (vespa) Nakeds Sport tourers Mini type cruiser Prem bought a cruiser and loved it.
Pretty sure every brand makes at least one cruiser.
There are heaps of cruisers so many brands. How about honda Goldwing.

Goldwing more of a sports tourer, but yeah could be a cruiser, has the engine.
try a royal enfield if you can :)
9:09 dismiss them 😊
triumph don't make cruisers??? they make ALL the cruisers!!! the bonneville, speedmaster, thruxton rs, scrambler, even the rocket 3, all great bikes
I am the exact opposite to you! I think that adventure bikes and sports bikes are simply ugly! Think how boring the World would be if we all liked the same things
I've never ever liked cruisers and still not cause they just scream 60 year old dad vibes and im young.

😄 know what you mean, the thought of riding one makes you think you'll feel like a bit of a tit... right up until you actually ride one then you really don't care.

Just like the sport bike community. There's a lot of variety in the cruiser world. There's a lot of sportier versions and muscle cruisers now
