Holding ctrl to break up parts doesn't work is there a way to fix that or am I just screwed on that

Its a bit wonky to get it to work, you have to press down ctrl as the same time as you're clicking! And you have to click between two limb segments (between the limb balls or what to call them haha)

What non game editors mean is that you can't use freedom in the actual gameplay part of Spore, freedom is only available in the editors you open from the game menu. I think its because freedom creations would mess with the performance, and that is also why they can't be shared on the sporepedia :/

That's really strange! Does it do that every time? I read that you could try to delete your pollination file, its located in username/appdata/roaming/spore. Be aware that this will delete all the creations you currently have downloaded, however if you're subscribed to other creators and sporecasts these will re-download when you start up the game again.

when i try to activate the freedom cheat it says "Only for non-editors: i dont know what that means and can any body help me with it?

i use part copying to speed up the adding of for example details or weaponary for my creatures

As far as I'm aware its sadly not possible, I'd suggest to look around the Sporum and see if you can find any other information there though!

Who I am you probably dont care anymore, but you have to do it in the non creature stage editor, the one where you have all items and stuff

You can use the up and down arrows to resize stuff! :) I wish I had thought about this before I made the video, I didn't even think about that not everyone has a mouse x(

No hotkeys work (tab, ctrl+something, etc) besides alt and the camera rotation.

everytime i try ctrl + left mouse click, it doesn't break the limb

Hmm, are you making sure you're clicking between the joints and that you're holding down ctrl+lmb and pulling away at the same time?

For me freedom doesn’t work... it says editor limits are disabled. Freedom

You have access to all creature parts if you open the creature editor from the main menu! But there is no way to unlock them all in-game as far as I'm aware

Is there a command to exceed the sizing limits on details?

Sadly no, there is however a mod for that! As for what that mod is called and where to get it I have no idea 😅

okay so i was testing something but basically i put freedom off, and added parts until the complexity was full, the total was 6 parts. i then removed them, turned freedom on, and the complexity was full at 6 parts once again. what the hell? freedom doesnt even work! it doesnt do ANYTHING!

Freedom is really finicky, as far as I know it works best if you enable it just as you start creating! It doesn't let you add a lot more parts in total tho, at least not a lot of high-complexity parts. I've gotten most out of it when I've used less complex parts like knurldowns and horrorlumps etc.

Hmm, are you typing the cheat while you're in the creature editor? Also, I'm pretty sure it only works while you're in the parts menu rather than the color menu. Another thing; with "non game editors" they probably refer to the editors you use while you play the game, the cheat only works within the editors you select from the main menu. Hope this helps!

How do channels like DarkEdgeTV make such complex spore creatures? Freedom seems to be less affective.

Mods! Either that they have mods that gets rid of the complexitymeter or that modded parts have a low "complexity cost" :) My knowledge of mods is pretty much non existent tho so I can't help you more I'm afraid!

I copy it by highlighting it and pressing ctrl+c, then you can paste it again by pressing ctrl+v! So you can go pretty fast if you just press ctrl+v, then enter and repeat :D

Unless you use the captain editor from the main menu and make a new captain sadly no, there is apparently some ways to do it but all of those needs mods to work!

I suppose you mean if you're playing in the creature stage? I think there's a way to unlock all the parts, I'd try typing in help and see if something comes up

does the achievements block bug still occur? I read that if you use cheats before space stage and before having all processing medals that future achievements in other new games will be blocked I used cheats but only after I got all those processing medals in space stage and I got the joker badge and the bug didn't occur yet but I'm scared that if I use cheats in another game in one of the other levels that the bug will happen

Hmm I think I only cheated after I entered Space Stage, not sure how many of the processing medals I had, but I was able to get achievements in other playtroughs! I tried looking around but I couldn't find any more information about the bug, so I honestly don't know :/ Sorry I couldn't help more, hopefully someone else reading this might know something

When I do a second gameplay in the future of spore, I am planning to use cheats somewhere at the beginning, I do hope that I don't get the bug but I still found other bugs in the game I got 3 glitches and bugs so far - A glitch where the creature walks through a tree. - the freezing bug happened to me during the end of cell stage and more than once during creature stage after I was killed. I lost the history of my cell stage because I didn't save and needed to close the game to restart it again, and other times I lost a bit of progress because I needed to restart the game to play again I saved every 5 a 20 minutes to not lose very much of the progress. - I also had another bug in tribal stage where my tribe would be in a line with food and they were never able to put the food down to the altar to eat, the only thing they could do is drop it and do other things or standing there and admire the buildings while they were starving and to solve this I already saved before having this glitch so I just restarted the game without saving and the bug was gone. I wonder which glitches I will encounter in civilization stage and space stage.

I wish you luck! :D Oh wow thats a lot of bugs, personally I've been pretty lucky and haven't encountered any super bad ones (but also I don't actually play the game a lot lol). I think Spore has had a lot of bug/glitch issues ever since the game was first released, and despite releasing quite a lot of patches and updated a lot of them seems to have never gotten fixed! Luckily the editors seem to be pretty free of them, however I'm dealing with this one super annoying thing right now where the mouse cursor is displaced so I kind of have to guess where the actual "clicking" part is x(

I got glitches and bugs since the update of march 2017. Glitches and bugs seems to always happen with games from maxis and EA.

Freedom doesnt work, it Days The freedom cheat can.only be run from within the non-game editors. Wth.

Make sure that the cursor is on the middle of the limb segment, and that you're holding down ctrl all the time while clicking :) If that doesn't work I'm not sure what to tell you :(

I think that "unlockSuperWeapons" only works in the space stage of the game! So you can't use that cheat in the creature editor, although if you are using it in the space stage and nothing happens I'm not sure how to help you :(

Ahh you should be able to do that in the options, you find them in the main menu! Not entirely sure you can change the hotkey from scroll though :(

Hmm there sadly seems like there is no cheat to get all the parts in the creature stage. However, they're all available in the editor you reach from the main menu :)

Its possible to make limbs invisible but other than that you can't make individual parts invisible. You can hide them underneath other parts and in some cases inside the torso however!

If you're referring to riding vehicles, I think that you're able to as long as your game is updated, i'm not 100% sure tho

Well the freedom cheat gives you a bit more complexity to work with, but if you want truly unlimited complexity you'd have to use mods! I think that Dark Injection has unlimited complexity, but I think there's also a separate mod you can install if you only want to get rid of the complexity meter and not get any new parts?

Yes! I'm pretty certain you can use the + and - buttons on your keyboard while you have the part selected or have the mouse hovering over it :) Pretty sure it works for the spine and limbs too!

Actually it seems like I was wrong lol, I just tested it and for me the arrow keys (up and down) controls scale! Hopefully that'll work :)

Are you sure you're placing the mouse cursor between the joints and not on top of one? Also remember that you have to hold down and drag away

Hmm that's strange, did you make sure you hold the cursor underneath the upper limb "sphere" and not on the sphere itself? Don't think it works otherwise :/
