This Thillana by Lalgudi Sir,is very sweet to the ears but the very attempt to sing this 'so scientifically' composed gem, the singer must take every step diligently and with a lot of consultations and approval by the guru. Spoorthi has done this apparently to perfection.The result is a beautiful and perfect rendition.

Spoorthi Rao's Vocal Concert was brimming with her confidence which showed in her raga aallpana very distinctly. That she has achieved this level of proficiency of almost a very Senior exponent is due to her unmitigated dedicatiopn to practice and offer her best to the listeners. The Violin accompaniment by Shri. Sayee Rakshit was a perfect second fiddle to her performance with nothing wanting beyond. The exponents on Mridhangam by Shri. N.C.Bharadwaj and on Ghatam by Shri. S. Krishna was simply the most desirable to simply put it across, as they are experts in handling their gadgets. All in all the performance for Rashtreeya Sangheethotsava organised by Mani Krishnaswami Academy was commendably good and nice beyond compare for the troupe.
