I have once sponsored a girl. For me I did not feel scammed, like so many say. fpr 2 years I sponsored her between 10-20000 baht . She moved back home and stayed with her family inher rural village. and it was fine for a few years. But honostly, the reson I stopped was that I didn't want to marry her. And I feel like marriage shoud be the standard, if you want to sponsor a girl or not. And so with that I say, sponsoring a girl is a serious commitment. Don't just throw your money a way for a bit of fun.

Second last trip I had a conversation with one of my bar fines and she was telling me her sponsor had stopped paying her the equivalent of £800 a month and she was struggling .... As the conversation turned I could tell she was setting me up for the whole I need money routine , before she could mutter another word I said why would any guy sponsor a girl here and get no "fun" from it when he is back home, when he can save that money, come to pattaya and have a different girl every single day, she stopped in her tracks when she realised I'm not going to be a mug .

NEVER become a sponsor. With 30+ visits and more than 100 “acquaintance” experiences, I agree with you 100%. There are also positive aspects to buying another girl a drink. My lady's friend hasn't had any clients for 3 days due to an eye infection. Yes we all make mistakes but for myself my first time in Pattaya met a freelancer spent a couple nights with her continue to talk on the phone she hinted having no customers and I'm like thinking to myself sucks to be you but I am not going to even mention about sending money to help regardless I have a relationship with my money I don't give it freely but I would not get stuck into that trap I really feel sorry for the men that do this just go on holiday take it for what it is and you will go home Happy just remember the 3-day rule and for some one day I fit in that category LOL

i lived in Phuket until july 2018, married too. i still come back twice a year (apart from covid) , like your content, ex Glasgow been in Sydney most of my life , we held out in the union at the weekend. I sponsored two families during covid and still sponisor one family. The only part of thailand I ahve not been to is the deep south or far north. Misconception , Isan is poor , thats crap, I now many people from there and I played in a touch union comp Jan 5 near Maha Sarakham, they were al rich Thais or in the police and army, I have been to Isan many times. The poor areas are parts of Krbi proince in the highland , southerm Nakhon Si Thammatart , Trang , and Tak near the border in central thailand clsoe to Burma

I think you explain the sponsorship very well, and to be fair these girls are in a terrible fix a lot of the time. If you go holiday in Pattaya you are probably after a good time with some girls, and in that case maybe lady drinks are fair, especially as it gives you a chance to check out the deal you might make. It's a business! As for the bar, well they have overheads and salaries to pay, and they are not a charity so need to make a living too. Especially during the high season, since the rest of the year is probably not great business. Stay in control and don't get bullied, you can always walk away and use another bar. Even in UK if there's a confrontation it's best to leave and go somewhere else. What happened in boys town video? Did you just bail out because you can't stand to think about the going's on? If so I'm with you on that one. 97% are either boy or girl, the rest can do what they like, just don't shove it down my throat. It's one of the things wrong here in UK, I'm not against them, just keep it private, pretty much how the 97% do. Good video, well balanced talk, maybe cut the working girls a bit of slack because it's a rum trade, and try not to get scammed.

The sponsor thing will never change you can tell people till your black and blue in the face they just don't listen till they've been taken for a ride then they listen bit late. And the drinks well that's just a route reason I don't buy them anymore ( ridiculous prices ) or BF again silly amounts no need to so many other options.

it depends what you have if you from a first world country with strong currency and good pension and properties ( well off ) and alone it might be worth while only if she puts in effort , if you can see her face to face , spend time with her and she makes you feel special , BUT if you don't have anything and need to save or live month to month and need to budget for the future its a definite no go.

Once you " live" here, the girls find out very fast and you will get a lot less attention because you know how it works here😊 Just tell the girls it's your first week in Pattaya and enjoy the madness😂 I go out regularly with my girl to play pool in rompho when i'm in Jomtien and me buying a Lady drink for another girl would be a big no go 😅 We have a couple of bars we play at because they know us for a long time and don't bother us, always happy to see us.
