Hey Todd and Evan , good to see RED out and stretching her cylinder a bit . I have been looking at the splitfires vertical splitter . I contacted them and asked where they bringing one to the Bunyan show and they said they were not sure which machines they were bringing . I point blank told them if they didn’t bring their vertical splitter they were messing up . Good video . Take care . 👍🏻🇺🇸🪵

Good clean-up day. Gettting all the uglies, cookies, and such cleaned up is something I'm real good at putting off, but it always feels good when they're cleaned up and in the bin. Good to see the ol' Boxer out and getting a workout.

We save the shorts/cutoffs too. I’ve sold them to people with solo stoves. They seem to like it for that. Your woodyard is nice and clean man!! Enjoyed the show!!

I know when I went back to. Boxer for a video after running a commercial rig I couldn’t believe how much productivity we gained with the commercial units. It was an eye opener.

Yeah my eyes have been opened for sure! Boxers have there place! It just depends on your situation with firewood. Kinda like going from an axe to a boxer. Same when it comes to going from a boxer to a commercial rig! Huge difference in both situations! Thanks for watching Heath👊🏻

@@toddsoutsideagain I agree, the ultra is kind of the do all, just not do all as good as the verticals for precision or the production machines for mass production. But it can hang with them and it’s easy to move 🤷♂️

We sell most of our softwood chunks and hunks. We burn the hardwood hunks and chunks to heat our house.

Yeah no sense in wasting them. We sell them in the fall too and the rest heats our garage. Now I will say I have to throttle back on saving everything! Some of it is not worth the time spent breaking it down! Like that 4 headed cherry! Thanks for stopping by Dana👊🏻

Since the 17VS is leaving soon, you considering getting a vertical machine to replace it? The 17VS would be hard to beat. But I am considering the new vertical splitter from Split-Fire, the 1165. It a lot smaller than the 17VS, and hand-control.. but a vertical splitter for around $3k has me very interested

Yeah it was actually fun running the my ole boxer again! Simplicity is very relaxing sometimes😂

Nothing wrong with your boxer splitter. I love the work hight. If it was mine I'd build a work table to stack rounds close maybe with a section rollers like the unload boxes from a truck. And I'd look for a valve to speed up cycle time but that's it.

Boxers definitely have their place! Sure beats swinging an axe all day like we used to😂 Commercial splitters are definitely more expensive but what a difference! It just depends on your situation and if you can justify the cost difference. Thanks for watching Jason👊🏻

For an un-modified box store splitter, thats definitely faster then average!. Must be a 16gpm pared with a 4" cylinder. Usually, 16's are used on a 5" cylinder making it about the same speed as a 11gpm on a 4" . If its off warranty, you could adjust the gov spring a bit, get the engine to run a little faster then the oem 3,600 max. Mabe shave off another 1.5-ish seconds a round trip. . Removeing the 90 degree fitting would help fluid flow a bit.

I’m not sure on what got pump it has? It has a fast forward ram speed and a slower retract! I have not done anything to it but split a ton of wood😂 It’s been a great splitter. I appreciate ya watching and commenting BGW👊🏻

What do you do with all your little stuff, we have special bin for it and we use it in our fireplace. That is also what we do with most of our uglies. We have 1 family that comes for 9 days and rents 4 cabins and they burn about 2 cords of uglies. Uglies can be a pain, but they all burn, they are just harder to stack and store.

Hello James. We sell our uglies in the fall/winter by the IBC tote full. The rest we use to heat our garage. The really small chunks I made I use on our BBQ grill to cook with. Thanks for watching 👊🏻

Why not just go ahead and break down and buy the vertical splitter cause you know you like it and it makes your life easier and make’s getting big log split easier yes I know they cost a lot but I’m sure you could work out some kind of deal with them

I was blown away with this new tree service! Your right ya just can’t beat over 3 cords dropped in your yard spread our ready to cut! I did do a video way back on smoker chunks? Haven’t sold much though. I have just been using these oak chunks to cook over on my BBQ grill. I just use some slash in the bottom of my charcoal chimney to get it started and use the chunks like charcoal 🤷♂️ Works great! Thanks for watching 👊🏻

Nothing wrong with your boxer splitter. I love the work hight. If it was mine I'd build a work table to stack rounds close maybe with a section rollers like the unload boxes from a truck. And I'd look for a valve to speed up cycle time but that's it.

The one you have there I got one like it and an older one over 30 years old I set and split . Toss in to tractor bucket totes or conveyer

Boxers definitely have their place! Sure beats swinging an axe all day like we used to😂 Commercial splitters are definitely more expensive but what a difference! It just depends on your situation and if you can justify the cost difference. Thanks for watching Jason👊🏻
For an un-modified box store splitter, thats definitely faster then average!. Must be a 16gpm pared with a 4" cylinder. Usually, 16's are used on a 5" cylinder making it about the same speed as a 11gpm on a 4" . If its off warranty, you could adjust the gov spring a bit, get the engine to run a little faster then the oem 3,600 max. Mabe shave off another 1.5-ish seconds a round trip. . Removeing the 90 degree fitting would help fluid flow a bit.

I’m not sure on what got pump it has? It has a fast forward ram speed and a slower retract! I have not done anything to it but split a ton of wood😂 It’s been a great splitter. I appreciate ya watching and commenting BGW👊🏻

What do you do with all your little stuff, we have special bin for it and we use it in our fireplace. That is also what we do with most of our uglies. We have 1 family that comes for 9 days and rents 4 cabins and they burn about 2 cords of uglies. Uglies can be a pain, but they all burn, they are just harder to stack and store.

Hello James. We sell our uglies in the fall/winter by the IBC tote full. The rest we use to heat our garage. The really small chunks I made I use on our BBQ grill to cook with. Thanks for watching 👊🏻
Why not just go ahead and break down and buy the vertical splitter cause you know you like it and it makes your life easier and make’s getting big log split easier yes I know they cost a lot but I’m sure you could work out some kind of deal with them

Well that would be awesome but not in the budget this year! I will have one someday but it has to be justified. When the time is right I’m definitely going to have a commercial grade splitter. It definitely makes life in the woodyard easier. Thanks for watching Bass 👊🏻

I was blown away with this new tree service! Your right ya just can’t beat over 3 cords dropped in your yard spread our ready to cut! I did do a video way back on smoker chunks? Haven’t sold much though. I have just been using these oak chunks to cook over on my BBQ grill. I just use some slash in the bottom of my charcoal chimney to get it started and use the chunks like charcoal 🤷♂️ Works great! Thanks for watching 👊🏻
Good time splitting. Yeah I have split many cords of wood with a borrowed boxer. It’s all faster than an axe.
