I remember hauling grain with those. Added more acres and needed bigger trucks. Went to Petes and Kenworths. Still got a soft spot for those old GM Trucks.

We had a bunch on the bunch as well, some with a straight 5 speed and some split. They certainly arent speed demons, but they were always very reliable and got the job done

I got an 83 C7000 366 5+2 gets the job done just fine 👍

just got an 87 bucket chip truck with a 366 5+2. gutless as hell but point the tires and it'll get there haha

Yea it wasnt big on power but was extremely reliable and always got the job done!

It’s hard to beat those old General Motors trucks mine is an 86 with a Diesel engine they cal it a (fuel pincher) with a 5 and 2

All depends what gearing you have. Mine cruised at 55mph around 2500rpm, if i pushed it to around 3500 it was 65mph.

How many tons can fit on the back ?
