damn. I guess last season was officially the end of the iconic and legendary run of Splitsvilla. This is now going towards a completely different vibe and has lost the authenticity this show once had. The villas don't even look like villas anymore, the editing and camera work are lazy, the budgets are clearly dropping, its always some roadies drama brought in, and the choice of girls and guys seems as if there were no other humans left in the world to choose from, but most importantly (even though Rannvijay started being bias with the roadies contestants) this show is absolutely nothing without his presence and humor. And the complete removal of ANY background noise and music to avoid copyrighting, not only cuts out important parts of the show such as what on earth was even the instruction of the challenge they played -.-?!?, but also the entire mood and attachment to the scenes and episodes are completely gone. I don't even feel hooked enough to want to watch the rest of the episode let alone the next episode. It literally goes to show how much power audio holds and that without it a show like this is just pure cringe and to be honest simply uncomfortable to watch. I was soo looking forward to it and now I have the ick and am so disappointed. I actually genuinely wanna cry because its like I am witnessing the death of something I loved. I moved away from south Asia decades ago but this was the one show I still continued to watch yearly and kept up with because no other show could provide what this love reality show provided. Heck I even always used it as an example to compare to Western love reality shows and stated how none of them could ever come close to the entertainment this one show provided. Even said it to my cousin who was on Love Island Uk, which is THE most popular Western dating reality show. But now im gonna have to take it all back sigh. RIP Splitsvilla 2008 - 2023, its been a wild ride
