It is reassuring to know (though politicians say things like this constantly and then do something else ) that Newsome is not entertaining taking Biden’s place. There are many great leaders out there, but he is NOT one of them (in my humble and worthless in the scheme of things opinion). I was born and lived a big portion of my life as a child and an adult in California and I moved out of the state (military related reasons) and when I returned 5 years later, the decline was so marked that it was obvious many policies went badly wrong in execution. The idea that I could ride my bike in Orange County, CA at 12 years old for 8 miles through the city and feel and be safe and see no dr*g related items/trash or homeless encampments filled with migrants and homeless veterans due to the housing situation and cost of living. California was made in a large part the huge economy it is largely due to the migrants and hard working citizens and it’s a sad state of affairs to see it in such decline in almost every faster of life.😢😢❤❤ I will keep up hope that this country ends up with the right leader and that we have better future years than we have the past decade or more. We as citizens need to bridge some gaps and unite to make that happen and realize that no one is always going to agree with us, and that’s ok. Sending everyone here love and health.❤

No matter how bad Biden was tonight, I will always vote for him because he loves our country and has a good heart. I will never vote for a lying, rapist, who doesn't know how to tell the truth.

It's hard to answer the questions and rebut all the lies when you're only given two minutes. Biden did the best he could under the circumstances, he was under the weather, maybe medicated, and looked shocked at all the rapid fire lies Blotus spewed. I'm not sure he was prepped for that Trump who showed up, but more like the angry Trump he met last debate. The recent photos of Trump show him smirking, so smug and self satisfied. That's a face just begging to be slapped.

I couldn’t say “Biden” and “Phenominal” in the same sentence with a straight face, and I couldn’t say it about Trump either because it’s been a LONG, LONG 8 years (and even longer if we are being honest). I sometimes sit and wonder if those saying these things have been living in the same nation (or even world) as I do because just a grocery trip alone is enough to bring on the sticker shock. It’s wild that people will put all the blame on Trump though he’s been out of office 3 YEARS, and others will put all the blame on Biden as if the years before him didn’t have a part in the current situation. Indeed, today is one of my 'moodiest' days having to think about what Biden went through during the debate and how trump's broad daylight lies were not called out. I totally agree with your comment, "People will vote for their values." The fact that it's so close is beyond the realms of comprehension. We have a convicted felon and pathological liar vs. a decent guy who is more concerned with doing his job and trying to better America and it's neck and neck? Too many people are focused on grocery prices (which are killing a lot of us, me included) and they cannot see anything else. I'd vote for Biden if he were on life support at this point in time. Some people say don’t scrap goat the moderators, but in my opinion they did a horrible disgraceful job, I didn’t realistically expect them to fact check trump all the time but I did expect them to not be so quick to cut Biden off when he was actually answering their questions and then let trump lie & rant without cutting him off, then do a post analysis bad mouthing Biden to cover their you know what because they knew how horrible and disgraceful they were.

We need to teach people all over again how to discern between lies and reality. Trump is on video regarding Charlottesville and the Proud Boys, yet he denies it. A couple of Lincoln Project ads would help, for instance.

Life it is not easy… When I heard one of Trumps speeches March 2016, how he spoke about immigrants, veterans and people with disabilities, I RUN and unregistered from the political party. I could see who he was back then. I voted in 2020 thinking “ what kind of future country I want to leave to my grandchildren?”, I’ll do the same this year. Never give up!

I learned only one thing from watching the debate, I give up on the media. If we, as a society, still have to try and convince ANYONE about all of the reasons CONVICTED FELON TRUMP should not be President, then we need to start praying/sending energy out on our own, vote BLUE and stop focusing on the convicted felon.

Goodmorning David, I was so mad last night that I had to leave the debate early. How could we as a people allow this to happen ? We saw an elderly statesman, with heart, compassion for others, and a cleare view for what is best for the sole of the country to # 1 go on stage with a 34 time convivted fellon, a convicted rapist (Egene Carrol) and an admitteded racist being bludgoned with lies by someone who stole classified documents for god knows what purpose?. # 2 we had moderators on a national TV station conducting a debate with a know lier wiyhout any any fact checking or demanding responses of substance abuse the President so blatantly. (THIS SHOULD NOT HAPPEN IN AMERICA). I'm so pi--ed right now. That said, my one consolation as an independent voter is to forever vote BLUE until we are rid of that WWE ORANGE GORELA. As for CNN, FOX WANNA BE good luck with your treachery.

In response to your third question/reading in this video, i want to thank you for your honesty in sharing your feelings. I couldn't watch the debate. It was too hard! This is not an election of just one person. Biden has such integrity, is a doer and has excellent people on his team. Yes, I wish he had felt better and could have been more dynamic but I sure as heck hope the pundits will focus on his accomplishments as president and not his weak performance tonight. Honestly, this may be a short term loss, but a long term gain just like it was for Obama. Because it shows us our weaknesses that we have to strengthen, it shows us that we messed up and have to fix it, and sometimes the only way to learn is to learn from our mistakes. That way, we come out stronger in the end. I'm sure Biden's Campaign is learning that things have to change right now, and it's a good thing this debate happened while we're still 6 months out from election night. That way, we can learn from our mistakes all the more sooner, fix things while we still can, and set things right to crush Trump once and for all.

Here's another thought...If Biden had shown up stronger and more forceful and Big t looked stupid it could have lulled Dems into confidence. Now we cannot relax. We have to keep moving forward. Stay positive people.

Last night was sickening for me too. We saw Trump, the devil card, at the top of his game and Biden at the bottom of his. However, I am reminded that from a spiritual perspective it is important to rise above the polarization and live our lives from above this 2 demential drama. I feel last night just cemented and polarized us even farther apart than we were already. It's hard not to fall into that trap. The biggest mistake Biden made is that he hasn't learned "not to get into a pissing contest with a skunk". Meaning, Trump has a sociopathic personality with the constant delusion that goes with it. Just as Charlottesville "never happened" he can denigh, denigh, denigh, and lie, lie, lie with so much conviction that he can convince any gullible person of anything. You can't win in that game. That said, what I felt was so desperately needed last night, and in all debates, is real time nonpartisan fact checkers at the debate and on camera who between questions and answers, call out the established facts.

When trump was elected in 2016, I said to my husband that maybe this is the lesson America needs right now. To choose between decency (is there such a thing, or is that projection?) Such a young country, so many possibilities to develop. Even I never imagined the conflict that would follow his loss of the 2020 election.

If Trump was to be removed from the press option, would the voters become lackadaisical? And I'm not wishing harm to anyone. I just think that spirit wants us to cement our choice of keeping our democracy or don't. With or without the whining liar we have to vote in numbers that are undeniable. And we have to forevermore vote with such conviction.

When I listened to the debate, it sounded like Trump was strong with his lies and Biden sounded more tired from all the hard work he has been doing.

Yes and unfortunately for 99% of people, optics matter above all else. Trump came across as his usual strongman/bully self and Biden came off like the kid in the schoolyard that just had his lunch money taken from him.

I know, I know, David. It is very frustrating. Biden and his team need to understand that this is not normal politics and to fight back with the same. There is no.time for shock or astonishment by the Trump and Maga. Its time past due to fight back with the same! Thank you for your energy in these readings.
