The great Konpira Shrine was once a major pilgrimage destination for people from all over Japan. The shrine is still very impressive and is a repository of traditional Japanese culture.
In this experience, you’re guided by a knowledgeable Shintō priest who introduces you to traditional music and dance and the fine art displayed in the various shrine buildings. You can also dress in Shintō shrine clothing. Lunch featuring locally sourced ingredients is served at Restaurant Kamitsubaki in the shrine precincts.
