Visiting The British Museum's INDIAN Collection

Never knew so much history has been looted from India. I did visit the British Museum long back but never fully explored the Indian collection here. Hope you like the vlog.

Not exactly... Britishers were planning to transport Taj Mahal to London, but their rule ended and this project got scrapped... Another example, You can see a small hill which Britishers had bought from Iran, formerly Persia. And that small hill is nothing but an Agyari of Zorashtrians... So no doubt, if their rule would have extended, Today we would have been seeing Pyramid in London

When a first Britisher came to Bharat, some 500 years back, he was shocked to see the rich Indians, artistic monuments, Advanced science and wealth.. Its been said, he alone looted Gold in 69 ships. Just he alone... Unimaginable wealth was looted and Indians were killed. I was woke when i used to live in London and even visited this Museum but with a woke mindset. After reading the history and our old scriptures, my eyes get wet. India has faced a lot. We Indians should go back in time and make India a Bharat again. Jai hind.. I love this channel...

We should focus on preserving and passing on what we have rather than focusing on what we lost. Remember strength is in unity, India lost everytime when there is no unity. Resisted well when we are united. It's been 70 years, time to move on to future and at same time Remember words " never again".

Conversely in there in England at least we can see them and appreciate the past. The things that were displayed in our national museum in Dhaka can hardly be found and who knows were they might have gone or vanished. Don't blame the British but ourselves.

Today's generation should realize this truth about how rich Indian culture was and how these britishers ruined everything for us. Today's generation should read about the crimes and brutality of the Britishers so that they can understand the importance of the freedom, so that they can realize why our freedom fighters hated British raj so much. We Indians should help each other to educate each and every child because it's only way. When each child becomes educated and realizes about our past, then only our country will reach at its full potential.

It feels so bad to see such amount of valuable relics are stolen and a lot of people died in behind of them. But the good thing is they are well preserved. I doubt whether these items would be preserved in that way if they remained in India. Such a big diversified and ancient history India has. Bad thing is very few people understand how great their identities are! Only blatantly following west will not take the sub continent people to nowhere. In one of the writings vivekananda has written I loved india before I went to West. But After returning from there I feel like every sand particle of India is sacred. Let not the western ideology destroy what we are! Of course we shall learn what the good of the west and make ourselves better. At the same time we should not forget what we are and we should be proud of that!!

I once had the opportunity to meet a American Antiques collector couple in Bali and as we got talking I realized they had incredible knowledge about Indian art and artifacts, they said they had traveled to India many times and they said they themselves had a huge collection of Indian artifacts, I asked them how old and they told me some of them were centuries old, I asked them the obvious question how they got them and the typical American answer was obviously we paid handsomely for them, I learned through them that Indian artifacts were still being smuggled out of India till the late 90s, I also learned another interesting thing that before coming to Bali the couple were in England visiting their English private collector friends and they said some of the Indian artifacts that are held privately pale in comparison to what is displayed at British museums, so what you see there is just probably a small percentage of what is held privately by English Collectors. Needless to say I felt sick after hearing all that.
