I love the huge differences between the witch twin in both aesthetic and personality, Yubaba is greedy and arrogant, her castle/hotspring is big, rich and crowded with yokai but she only saw them as the piggy banks for her income. While Zeniba is kind and peaceful, her cottage may look small and void of yokai but it filled with warmth, love and kindness, she saw yokai not an object but rather companions and always be there when they need her help or she need theirs, even a No Face gladly stays with her rather than walk around in Yubaba's cold palace.

While I see where you're going and somewhat agree overall... Just remember, that kind and peaceful grandma was 100% ready to off Haku for stealing, which yes he was at fault, but she wasn't that soft in dealing punishment. I think it's cool, I mean, despite her being acepting and hospitable, she can be kinda ruthless, guess twins do have similarities somewhat...

In addition, my personal assumption is that Zeniba is to some extent stronger than Yubaba. As soon as Yubaba heard from Haku that Zeniba had stolen her son, all her fire literally went out and she began to come up with a new dastardly plan. I would have thought that all this power and luxury was as compensation: Yubaba was weaker, so she decided to focus on management and her business empire, compensate for the lack of magic with the quality of its application, Zeniba obviously performs her important tasks, but it is much easier for her to rest from these affairs and duties in an environment closer to the average people prosperity. Most of all, I like Zeniba's phrase about the fact that magic alone cannot do much, and we hear this from the "terrible sorceress", which was described by the old man Kamazi.
