Yes, but it's not just about him spiraling out, and exploring his potential beyond what anyone has ever done. His lyrics are directed at all of us to participate in the same transcendence of the petty, ignorant self, to become more than we ever thought we could. To feel the rhythms of life, connected with others, to feel their pain, to perceive the power of all the forces of the world. It's an invitation, but he yells it as if it were a command. Haha- and the syllables of some stanzas of the song are delivered in a Fibonacci Sequence, which can be graphed as as an expanding spiral.

Fibonacci sequence is a numerical sequence where the next number of the sequence is made by adding the two previous numbers…1,1,2,3,5,8,13…etc… the song was originally known as 987 because of time signatures… which is also a number In the Fibonacci sequence… the verses follow this with syllables.. 1 black 1 and 2 white are 3 all I see 5 in my infancy 8 red and yellow the came to be 5 reaching out to me 3 let’s me see Etc….they said they wanted to make a song that sounded like it was collapsing in on itself…. Anyways 🌀out Doge….keep going

Hey! Now you can spiral out too! 🌀 Don't worry about trying to get the interpretation of the song. Their songs aren't made for that. It's how you personally interpret and feel about it. That's the reason Tool never explains their lyrics.

"As above, so below; as below, so above."-The Kybalion. The great Second Hermetic Principle embodies the truth that there is a harmony, agreement, and correspondence between the several planes of Manifestation, Life and Being. It basically means to act Heavenly on Earth because it is all one and we are all connected.

"Black and white are all i see in my infancy, red and yellow then came to be..." This always struck me as a triple. Black and white view of life, then realizing things aren't so clear cut. Also newborns see black and white first and then red and yellow come next as our rods and cones develop. Also black and white people are the most prominent races for much of the world, but its interesting that natives and asians are described as red and yellow, respectively.

"As the star, glimmering at an immeasurable distance above our heads, in the boundless immensity of the sky, reflects itself in the smooth waters of a lake, so does the imagery of men of the antediluvian ages reflect itself in the periods we can embrace in an historical retrospect. "As above, so it is below. That which has been, will return again. As in heaven, so on earth." -Helena P. Blavatsky
