@@silentline7698 and no, blitz needle does too much damage to be c tier. so is grim repeater. Moreover Iron Slug if used right can flinch enemies on basics, and you can use Grave/Callahan for not worrying about bringing enemies down to certain health. Just because a gun isnt mobile doesn't mean it doesn't have utility, considering Blitz Needle is *litterally* considered the best burst gun in-game.

Fun facts: The Neutralizer does less normal damage than the Biohazard. The Volcanic Pepperbox used to have an unintended effect where it sucked enemies closer to you rather than pushed them away. This let you sort of 'snipe' annoying enemies like silkwings

I got so much nostalgia from this; I used to watch you back in 2016 and I remember meeting you in game once and that just made my day. Glad to see you're doing well!

I started this game around 2012-2013, couldn't play too much of it 2014 -2015 onwards cuz life, but I've been coming back to it year after year whenever i found the time... I JUST found your channel and am honestly glad, your content is amazing and a video like this was something i was looking for ! I know bombs and swords are more defined/ the best among them are better known, but l would love to see your take on a tierlist for those too !!

I agree on all of that list, except for Wildfire and Supernova. Both, if used properly, can use their guaranteed knockback to their advantage to move enemies to a wall for example which allows party members to charge them there. Or in DaN, where they give you room to maneuver (and kill souls as well) as well as (remember, if used properly) knocking enemies into bombs if you have a bomber in team. Same counts for the Unknown Passage, especially with the difficulty increase of the SL's. So they have a niche use where they excel and I would put them in C-Tier. Of course, this is my opinion and you most likely won't find decent pulsar users, but you might keep that in mind. However, excellent list and very informative too, I like it and wish you would do more. PS: Like in all proper parties, communication is key!

Pretty accurate tier-list, I will say one thing in exceedingly slight favor of the torto-fists in that if you have someone with a Graviton / Electron vortex you can somewhat control enemy placement for the crystals...if they even HIT that is. And they’ll still have the invincibility thing happen so...whoopdie-doo. Still, F-tier is deserved. Really cool looking though!

If the crystals always spawned in the same pattern and didn't have the invincitinks, that'd be an awesome strategy! Hopefully one of these days they get some tweaks.

There was a time where I mained a Feral Cannon instead of a Blitz in Vana just cause I hated Needle that much. From there I got some experience with Tortoguns. So I can say: They have niche uses and are most likely deserved to be in F Tier, but you can still uses the crystals to your advantage, especially in compounds or TV's where they for example are good against Glop Drops (blocking them, damage on impact and on contact) or in Wolver Dens (shoot your fighting teammates can get good hits on T3 Wolvers if they burrow in the back of the mate). But Rynth is right, same pattern spawn and removing invincitinks would make them awesome.

I really appreciate the insight, especially since I recently came back to playing the game and all! I’m definitely looking forward to the Solo play tier list for these guns, but I really want to see your recommendations for swords! It’s a bit hard to find general opinions on what swords to aim for here and there, so I’m interested to see your take on the good and bad! But in any case, I’m just really looking forward to seeing more Spiral Knights content and all!

Get a brandish line 5* like combustor and glacius and the Acheron. Acheron is the best sword in the game and works well even on stuff it’s not very effective against... I wouldn’t recommend using it on stuff it’s not good against but it’ll still get the job done. With these two swords you’re set

I'd have put the iron slug on par with the winter grave, despite not having type damage the status it inflicts doesn't prevent knockback giving it far more DPS on the charge where the WG has unreliable due to the status.... having a mecha knight or giant lichen colony frozen in front of your face instead of dead at the other side of the arena can be the difference between living or dying

@@fractalisomega9517 Grim Repeater is aimed to kill. The damage is so high that knockback is irrelevant. Volcanic Pepperbox trades in alot of damage for the fire Status. And is a normal gun. So it is a miracle that it would one shot an enemy.

Permafroster is also great in vaults or compounds where gel drops take up all the space, imo

i use riftlocker and hail driver, riftlocker is a pretty good gun ngl it helped against greavers and devilites really much and silkwings, even a good trojan killer if you didn't also bring a blitz needle. the hail driver is so nice as you said, chain freeze hitting enemies is so nice. you can ricochet and hit basic attacks that can freeze enemies, a good freeze weapon if you don't want to just put down a bomb and wait for it to explode. the hail driver also shares the utility of moving while shooting, which is nice and recommended to gun switch.

it's 1:45am, I'm high as fuck, and I don't play this game. But that didn't stop me from enjoying this video!

On the contrary, the obsidian carbine is exactly as strong as sentenza. It just doesn't have the gremlin high boost, which to be honest is fine because that boost falls off when wearing complimentary armor to guns/weapons as a whole

Its very situational, but how about a shield tier list? I usually end up using the omega shell since it has the highest health so its useful for everything, and Im getting too lazy to swap loadout.

I will say that although the Antigua line doesn't do much damage as a noob friendly gun, it is also one of the most lag friendly guns combined with auto aim that does *decent* damage. Weapon switching reliably outside of solo can be difficult, especially if you've never in your life seen more than 1 red bar. From my experience so far: - Argent Peacemaker is a solid finisher weapon in FSC and a backup kiting tool. It pairs well with the typical sword and Blitz combo, which lacks the means to (safely) whittle down enemies at a distance. Also excelllent at stopping Howlizer heads mid flight. Where range is needed, it's better than alchemers by two tiles (despite the visual cue), but vs Arcana... it's still usually a downgrade. - I've found my Carbine to be a decent choice in D&N's arena. It's simple speedrun tool to reach the arena, and still works wonders in the arena itself. The bullet count is more flexible than blasters, allowing you to shield a tad more freely while dealing with the Wolvers, Gremlins, and the darned Void Gels. That said, I've never found an actual oppotunity ever where its charge attack can't be better resolved with more clicking or a vial. Even in parties. Get the Edge instead. Where it really starts to fall off is where you can't access the innate damage buffs, or are already running Chaos/Black Kat. At that point, the only upsides over weapon switched blasters are the thinner bullets for more reliably shooting past enemies and having more than 2 bullets before being locked into reloading. Which makes it good for speedrunning or finishing, but nothing else.

Bit of a necropost, but in regards to this comment: while watching my biggest thing was "why isnt he bringing up the fact that is sucks so hard to fight devilites and bats which the antigua deals bonus damage to" When I think of weapons I want, I think of how well they work in a team and then immediately after that, do they kill the things that I have the biggest trouble with quickly? For me thats the little miniaturized enemies just because they get spammed hard so you want one of each damage type to swiftly deal with them- its fiends and knight style enemies which come in all flavors usually. The speed at which knight style enemies attack means you can be interrupted easily if you're close, almirian knights, phantoms, mecha knights, etc. Katz. Most enemies in the fiend family except for trojans, and with every other enemy type it just depends on their spawn configuration and how many of them spawn which determines if they are going to give me trouble or not. If a weapon doesn't take care of difficult enemies quickly then I don't know if its that great.

you know what would be cool? a rework for the tortofists, so instead, the act of punching enemies "marks" them, with the punch acting more like a dash instead of a sword swing that can mark multiple enemies and then with this sort of "lock on" affect, the charge would launch homing crystals like a blitz needle, except literally all of them are guaranteed to hit! with no lock on, it could probably still do the artillary thing (except without hte invincibility shit) or it could be the same blitzneedle-flying missiles thing, just, shooting at random enemies/spots instead of a guarenteed lock on

Unfortunately not, it's been close to a year since there was last real playable content added. It's still surprisingly fun and the community is a lot larger than expected, but the lack of content is still a problem.

i would also rate peace maker higher than this brothers even the event counterpart and the main reason is that wile this gun lacks damage vs most other mobs compared to..well the standard A tier guns this gun is the vana floor slayer alongside Blitz the main reason is that once paired with a single buff of damage u can max out all other stats thanks to the undeath damage bonus after is has max damage charge and attack speed this gun can just permastund some undeath in place due to the heavy damage they take quickly form it then u blitz the rest

damn i made bad mistake getting that pepperbox, at least i didnt get the antigua

ayy too bad for me is that the game lag too bad either I have to predict the enemy attack before they hit and movement be move they move to the said tile I will die. Therefore I just used gun.

I don't disagree, but this was intended as an endgame list for players who have had time to learn all of the mechanics. Once you know how to switch there is absolutely zero benefit to the wand.

This was only made 7 months ago, I thought spiral knights was dead. Once I get a working computer I guess Ill have to hop back on. Also dont diss the turtle guns, looking cool is important.

funny how the alchemers and blasters are higher tier then the pulsar line since pulsars do far more dps, same goes for antigua line theyre really good for targeting singular enemies and out dps blasters by a good chunk. Also the pepperbox dealing normal damage + fire is really good for ice stages like heart of ice or ice queen since unlike the other autoguns it doesn't deal piercing damage and it has a very high concentrated damage output (at the disadvantage of movement though). Impressed that you put the torto guns at F tier since they do the lowest DPS in the game so you got that right at least.

As said in the video, pulsars are so low because of their knockback. In solo they're solid, in a party they're not. Blasters out dps antiguas by a significant margin if you know how to swap, which is also said in the video outright. Antiguas are only better for players who have not learned how to swap. Pepperbox is outdone by the grim repeater against slimes, being mechanically identical but with shadow damage. The fire removing ice slime spikes is usually a nonissue as black kat is enough to protect against the freeze fields, but I'd recommend going with a fire alch instead if you really want to strip their spikes since movement is important in ice queen runs.

@@Rynth pulsars are incredible in vana runs for rounding up enemies leads to easier uses of hexing haze, heart attack, and frenized fire storm,. Sure if you're careless you could hit an enemy into a player but that next to never happens plus its got a good AoE. Blaster swapping imo is not reliable at all times since players are likely gonna have to invest in extra weapon slots to make the most of that and thats at least 300 CE per month which really adds up (for what i consider to be a hard investment to follow through due to lack of high end content to do with others. While grim repeater absolutely shreds slimes and is an A+++ use against slimes, pepperbox does fire damage so if you're running sera or maskeraith it makes for a very good addition in statuses since fire does a comfy amount of damage plus normal damage spread is relatively consistent if you're doing certain levels that very in enemy type (like scarlet fortress). Might not be the best for end game content but its pretty useful for general clockwork use.

I probably shouldn't be the one to make a sword list since I almost exclusively use guns, but an armor list is pretty simple: Black kat if you have good weapon UVs > Merc demo if you're a bomber with good weapon UVs > Chaos > Black kat without good weapon UVs > everything else, realistically most of the time movement speed and high offensive UVs end up helping your survival more than defenses.

In parties, yes most of the time. The normal damage blaster is a terrible weapon, but pulsars can actively lower your party's dps by shoving enemies around.

Probably not making a sword one, I mainly use guns and there isn't as much variety available for good swords since some are pretty strictly best in slot. You either want to use an elemental brandish line (comb/voltedge > glac), a shadow brandish line (acheron solo, acheron/oe in a party), or a flourish (ff/btb) for piercing. Other swords can still be viable but will result in slower clears.

@@Rynth Is it blasphemous to suggest that owlite wands can be better than arcana in solo when you can't consistently switch? Has the same good charge attack as nova driver but higher damage per shot than arcana, and aiming at the side of enemies gets the ricochet shot enough times on the main target to feel better than arcana to me personally. Also, with the charge attack damage/projectile being the same as nova, being able to oneshot lumbers or groups of enemies with it feels really good compared to arcana in the same situation. Feels like wands are kind of like having both of those guns in 1 weapon. Of course, there being no owlite wand version of umbra driver sucks for players like me (imo, Shadow owl wand should've been umbra driver "reskin"), but I really think the weapon isn't as bad as it seems considering there's a place for antiguas with a similar purpose. With max ASI it didn't seem that much worse than someone switching next to me in training hall, considering how much less effort it takes to use, and spamming the charge seems like a way to make it a decent weapon option still since it charges up faster than drivers (ofc, with an awkward animation lag after firing). My biggest gripe with it was the super tiny projectiles and the relatively short range of basic attacks, like the other alchemers. But when I had mine I almost never used my arcana since I liked wand more, the convenience and higher damage per shot + aoe charge all combined felt nicer to me.

@@LiveTwinReaction I think the wands are fine as training wheels until you learn to switch, but once you do pick up the technique you'll never have a reason to go back to them. There's never a situation where they're better than the alchs once you do know how to switch, as the charge ends up taking the same amount of time once you factor in the end lag (and the end lag prevents movement, which is worse than being able to move + charge).
