yeah, for the Dodge Challenger 392 to make 485 HP and 475 lb-ft of torque from the factory, engineers had to do something right ;) position of mufflers and pipe diameter are super important! but sooner or later you want the car to be a bit louder. i just got Flowmaster Super 10 on Amazon. They're coming May 4th... all shipments are delayed unless it's medical supplies :( Once I have the new toys, we'll get them installed and do a test drive and compare them with the current Super 44s. I had them before on my V6 Mustang, and they were too loud, BUT the Challenger has active valves in the catback pipes -- unless you run in the Sports mode, the pipes are half closed, and you don't get the full volume.. so I think Super 10s should sound great... We'll see...

Spintechs sound pretty good on just about anything you put them on. I've run the 6000 series on V6's and I like how they sound. They're even better on a V8. I did think it would be louder since 6000's are a bit loud, but it sounds great on your 392! I've been to where they're made. Small shop in Riverside, CA.

they sounded pretty good.. the only issue was because i opened up the diameter of axle back pipes, i lost some low end torque. i ended swapping Spintechs for Flowmaster Super 44s, and now the torque is back. Also, the sound became deeper and more satisfying. I had Spintech 9000 on a 2.0L and 2.3L Mazda and they worked perfect... It's a good product...

In person it's a bit louder than Stock. Once my new tips come in, I'll get rid of the Flowmaster race mufflers. I don't like them. But they do knock off about 9 Decibels. I want the car to be louder. I'm not a big fan of after market exhausts. However, it sounds pretty good; I also like an exhaust system that is welded rather than clamped. I don't know if you remember an old commercial for gasoline. The punch line was: It puts a tiger in your tank. And it sounds like a tiger in your tank now. I checked and the commercial is on KZread by American Esso.

Like the new sound. I may have missed it, but what are the switches/buttons on the underside of the horizontal spokes on the steering wheel. 6 speed so I know it's not paddle shifters.

I actually used Pro Series Flowmaster muffler (5" in/out) on my previous International 9400 truck. I removed the stock mufflers and ran the open pipes, but I lasted only a month before it became too noisy.kzread.info/dash/bejne/oKmYq7CFqMLHnZs.html
