Spinning a Pride Fractal Sock Yarn

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Welcome back to my channel!
this week is gonna be a different kind of video, we are going to dye with some acid dyes, a beautiful rainbow and then spin it into a very chaotic pride fractal sock yarn. I also speak a little bit about pride. I've had a few hard weeks recently but I think this yarn really helped my mood with all the colours
the wool we are using is corrieadale, the same we used on the easter dye experiment.
hope you enjoy! :)

That is a gorgeous dye and stunning spin! Hooray for ‘Flagpole Friends’ turning me on to cool flooftubers! Also pink is original and essential to the rainbow. People who don’t want to see it are antithetical to the spirit of Pride.

I know I'm commenting a lot, but I just wanted you to know that this video was really good for my mental health. I've been having a tough week and today is the first time I had the spoons to pick up my knitting again. Just wanted to let you know this video is one of the reasons why ☺️

I celebrated pride with my non binary kid this year, we went to the pride parade. It was only the second year a parade was organized in my city so still very new. But we had a great time!

I really enjoyed watching the video in the background. How the heck does making yarn work! Crazy. And I so agree with your opinion towards the Pride rant. I’m hetero, but I did attend the pride parade in Cologne, Germany once some years ago and I had so much fun! I also am shocked that people are annoyed of pride, thinking that pride people want to force on everyone their „ideology“. Such a nonsense. I wish people would stop distracting from real problems like climate change, wars or closer to home topics, such as pensions, demographic change etc. I feel like the world will face more and more severe problems, therefore people feel like it is easier to just criticize other people that appear to be different, as it is easier than facing the real problems.

The original pride flag did have pink in it! It got taken out (along with turquoise) bc those colours were too costly to dye. So I'm happy to see at least the pink return (◕ᴗ◕✿)

Happy pride! Thank you for the pride rant/monolog in the middle of the video. It was funny and uplifting. "Let people live" what a great idea ❤️ I'm trying to stay positive too, I find it harder every year, but I do my best!

@@etienne6916 - In a lot of Asian families, when it comes to cooking you’ll hear: “as much as your ancestors tell you to” or “let your ancestors speak”. I might not be Asian but I think that applies to the dosage of a lot of things, and not just for food. Perhaps for the dyeing of fibre it’ll be “your soul will tell you how much”.

Please use a respirator when handling dye powder, it's not good to breathe that in! The colors turned out great (I think it was a good call to add a bit of red to the orange) and your yarn turned out beautifully!! I hope we get to see the socks in a future video

Canada like. D o u b l e t h e p r i d e. Anyway this yarn looks amazing. Honestly if you have this much you could probably make a pride scarf... Although maybe not if your pride events are in August XD (Also yes people are very mad about ~the gays~ teaching their kids about things like... Consent... It might give them ideas, you know)
