Spinnerbait and Finesse Fishing - After a Hailstorm

Спорт

In this 6 September 23 float tube fishing excursion to a public body of water in SW Missouri, a variety of finesse lures: Bear Paws 3-Inch Garden Worms, MegaStrike 3-Inch Mega Bug and Z-Man 2.5 inch TRD Craws worked really good. All the finesse lures were given a green light by none other than the PTA (Papillon Trip Advisor) Rudie Tootie.
However, and somewhat out of character, Rudie mistakenly failed to endorse an excellent choice: Spinnerbait. It was quite a surprise to see a lots of nice bass hit this power lure in shallow water.
Sparky (aka Mr. Sorosho) was suitably besmirked and hopefully cheered up at the same time - although nobody cares hahaha.
The haze of the Canadian wild fires that blanketed a lot of the midwest has thankfully subsided.
Enjoy the show!

Thanks Bill, much appreciated. Spent yesterday afternoon selecting spinnerbaits, chatterbaits and bass jigs for upcoming excursions. I'll still bring something finesse...just in case 😅😅. Tough opener loss for both our teams. 😢 best wishes, Don

Thanks, John. I can't say enough about how good those Garden Worms are. Thanks so much for designing the Heaven and Earth color. The color is so exceptionally good that I think I'll order some other types of larger lures in the same color combo in order to use bigger EWG hooks for those hungry bass. Have a wonderful week, your friend, Don

Thanks, Sis and R.Tootie says hi back. I was happy to catch something in this crazy drought. I keep looking at the root wads and exposed lay downs all over the banks since the water level is about 5 ft low. Those places are fish hotels at full pool but the fish have to relocate to random rocks and bottom structure right now. It was amazing to find them still relating to the bank in shallow water too. Days are getting shorter and nights are in the 50s already so all we need now is RAIN and lots of it. Have a wonderful week and love ❤️ you 😘 xxxxxoo RTR 🦇 😘 ❤️ Don

Thank you so much, Virgilio. I enjoyed discovering that the fish are now biting on Spinnerbaits! I'll be changing my strategy to more Power fishing for the fall season. Have a blessed week, Don

Thanks, Hayden, much appreciated. Although it was a bit of a drive, gas prices were a lot lower so Davisdale was a great place to go when we lived in Jefferson City. Those hikes were great exercise too. After figuring it out, Beaver was my favorite place for bass, and it had great seasonal bluegill, too. You never knew when a big channel cat would blast your lure too. We moved 2 hours west to Johnson County last November so I'll have to let you inherit the Davisdale fun 😀 😉 😜. Best wishes, Don
