Great simple exercise to help improve balance. After viewing I find myself doing the one leg stand when I am in the grocery line, stand at church, doing dishes at home etc. Anywhere I can sneak in a minute of the balance exercises. The more I do the better I am! Thanks!

Thank you so much for this information! I am 59 and just diagnosed with SS and severe degenerative disc disease. This is the best explanation that I have ever encountered and I have been to a few Physiotherapists. I have been saying that there doesn't seem to be a connection between my brain and my legs at times and as the day goes on and the more time I spend on my feet on concrete floors at work, the worse that connection seems to be. My legs feel like lead and I am dragging them around. It is so frustrating. :( My legs feel heavy, tired and my both feet feel numb even though I can actually feel sensation everywhere on them when touched. I do the balancing exercises that you describe in your video but haven't been leaning forward, will certainly try this. I am now going to watch your other videos on the fix, am sure it will be helpful. How I wish you were in my area, I would have an appointment tomorrow! lol Thanks for sharing all your knowledge and helping those of us who need it! :) :)

Gosh this video is really helpful. Thank you so much! My Aunt has SS. She is always complaining of numbness, pain and weakness in her right leg. Knowing she can change her pelvic posture will help her. She cannot walk or stand long. Also has balance problems. Now it's all making sense. I've subscribed! Thank you! 👍

Ive been dealing with a balance issue for 6 months , drs have ruled out bppv/vetibular issues . A physical therapist seen when i stand one foot in front of the other and close my eyes i almost fall down . Heart test good. Brain mri good. Dr seem to have no idea of what is cauaing my issue. My sense of space feels off, when i rotate my head left or right while walking i feel off balance worse .

It sounds like you rely on vision a lot if eyes closed and head turns affect your balance. I can't tell you exactly what's causing it in your case, but the spinal stenosis issue mentioned in this video and/or cervicogenic dizziness would be other things to bring up to your doctor or PT if all the other issues you mentioned have checked out normal. Good luck!
