Spin Bike Review: How a low-cost bike and YouTube cycling channel can help you burn calories at home

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Looking to recommit to a fitness routine, but having trouble getting to the gym? Jennifer has been struggling with the same issue. After repeat foot surgeries have made it challenging for her to run as much as she'd like, Jennifer invested in a Sunny Health & Fitness SF-B1110 spin bike to ride at home.
On this video, Jennifer shows viewers her bike and discusses how she uses Global Cycling Network videos on KZread to guide her spin workouts.
Check out the video if you're looking for an affordable way to jumpstart your fitness journey. Please note that Jennifer recorded the last part of the video after a workout, so please pardon the breathless sign-off. : )

Also ...What bike shorts would you recommend ? Yes, I'm a newbie at Spinning for sure , in fact I've never even been on one except for brief moment years back at the mall. However, I am an active person and use other means to exercise ...treadmill, bike, jump rope and a lot of outside stuff. Being that I'm bit older now ...40's I'm less implusive to jump on buying something without doing my homework on it. :) So, I appreciate any tips or advice . Thanks Jennifer

Thank you so much for the video! It's very useful and informative. How's the bike holding up after all this time and usage? Does it still work good? I only ask because I've read a few reviews on Amazon that state the bike became wobbly and uneven after awhile. I would greatly appreciate a reply. :)

HI Donnie. I use the bike about 5 days a week and it's still working well. I have not had to tighten any bolts yet and feel the bike is still holding up. For the money I invested, I'm very happy with the workout I can do at home without having to pay a monthly membership to a gym. Since my review I've started to do some more challenging spin workouts and get an even better workout. I have a long road to get to the fitness level I want to attain, but this bike is really helping. I'd buy it again. : )

Enjoyed your review. I had a question... I looked up this bike to purchase and can't tell if it has a break? I realize this video was uploaded in April but hopefully you're still at it and that you'll have the opportunity to reply. Thanks. Btw,since it's been a few months now since having your spin bike, are you still enjoying it ...curious if having any issues or complaints about it?

Hi Melinda. I'm happy to report that I'm still using the bike an average of five times per week and I love it. And, yes, this bike does have a break. (The red knob located on the main frame.) I don't have any complaints and very glad that I made this investment. : )

Hello Jennifer ! Thank you so much for your reply. And yes, I finally read where the brake was while reading a customer review on Amazon. Also noticed I use the wrong (break)grr (meant brake )when asking you about it. I assumed that's where it might be,but since looking at so many Sunny Health bikes it started to get confusing of which had what features and were. I really appreciate the info and hopefully you wont mind answering a few more questions, but first let me say Hooray! you're not just still at it but going strong at 5xs a week! My next question is do you wear clip in cycling shoes for spinning and if so what's working for you? I watched a KZread video of pros and cons on them and wondered if I should should invest in some since it seems that it's better on the knees and gives more of a workout, oh and supposedly when not wearing them your foot / leg falls asleep /gets numb after awhile and a few other things I'm sure I'm forgetting. It did seem to make sense when watching a video on explanations of why it's better, I'm just not sure if it's just hype or what. Also was it a deliberate choice to go with the flywheel chain drive rather then the belt driven one ? Was there a specific reason to go with that? Again...it gets confusing and seems just when feeling confident and my mind is made up,I'll read a comment that throws it all off. I completely realize the choice is mine to make and by no means hold anyone else accountable of my finally purchase whether good or bad I just was hoping for an honest opinion and a bit of buying guidance. Greatly appreciated.
