Woohoo! Received mine on Friday a day after ordering. This PRV is really amazing so glad I decided to wait for it. Cant wait till Spike releases their pump line up. I will probably buy a additional PRV with a flex + after I get the pumps. Spike rocks unbelievable customer service and product. Love my Spike products, Solo15, CF5

Can't wait... just started using spunding valves this year. Wow what a diffence it makes.. and now this is going to make it way cool.

Thanks for the objective analysis Spike! Now you need to post a video of exploding fermenter failures. For science, of course.

The push down and little drain are pretty neat features. The amount of times I’ve pulled up on my spunding valve and shot liquid all over the place 🤣

Looking forward to getting one of these. I had one in my cart for the presale but when I clicked to purchase it already got sold out.

I absolutely love the Spike lineup and happy with my Spike solo. I would love to own a PRV but so far they go soooooo quickly! Hoping that you guys can actually give us more than a few minutes to buy one next time. Bring on some surplus! 😁

Will this fit on to other brand fermenters

Struggling with the safety concerns mentioned on these. When using a spunding valve if it clogs the PRV is still the backup. Are we claiming the PRV is not a reliable fail safe?

What happens when krausen blows out of it?

I preface this by stating that I absolutely love my Spike fermenter. I pressure ferment with the Blichmann TC spunding valve and love it. The biggest advantage for me is the ability to capture the fermentation gas to purge my keg. I’ve never had any concern of clogs as the 8-10 lbs. of pressure keeps the krausen down, even under extreme fermentation activity. I also never fill my CF-5 much above the 5.75 gallon mark and the krausen line never gets close to the top of the fermenter body. Nice piece of engineering though.

Only takes one time to clog though. That's what we want people to be aware of. Also you could connect to the gas post on the All-In-One PRV and collect the CO2.

Can you divert fermentation gas through the gas port AND pressure ferment at the same time?

@@k-daddy5598 if you’re diverting the gas to outside the tank then you wouldn’t be building pressure in your fermenter.

@@SpikeBrewing not that I'm condoning this, but couldn't you set the Spike spunding valve up to actually be your spunding valve and something like a blowtie spunding valve off the gas post to pressure ferment, but allow the excess CO2 to purge kegs/collect CO2 and still actually not turn your fermenter into a literal bomb?

It does have a vacuum release as well right? That's what the PRV web page says.

This would save me two ports. I use a 15 psi PRV/vacuum breaker on one, spunding on another, and a gas post on the last port. I have had to get creative if I want a free port for dry hopping. Now, if it was only in stock….

Is your PRV marked with pressure ratings, or is it blank like the cheaper Ss spunding valve?

Joel, our PRV comes with a pressure gauge that is built in so no pressure markings are needed.

When will there be any retailers in EUROPE.

Since we can't ship directly we would need a distributor. However, we haven't had any distributors reach out. We'd recommend you reach out to your local retailer and ask for Spike!

Missed out on buying one, logged on 10 minutes after it went on sale and they were sold out. If its a lottery to buy one I will probably end up with the SS Brewtech. I will try to buy the Spike again in April. But if I cant just place a order and receive it when in, I will buy the SS to sit on my CF5. Own a Spike CF5 and Spike Sola 15, kinda sucks that even on the presale list I was not able to get one.

Mike, sorry about that! We only had a couple hundred for our pre-order. This product has not launched or started shipping yet (as of March 2022). The full launch will be in April so only a few weeks away.

Sigh, take my money.
