Sad that he doesn't get much attention

Silk is by far one of my favourite Spider-Man variants. I love her powers costume personality and stories. She is a unique character being stuck in a bunker for years and missing out on crucial moments of her life. She doesn’t really know how to interact with other people and she has a stable job. She also has an alive family which is very rare with Spider-Man variants. Her brother Albert being the most obvious example.

Organic Shooters are more reliable, Mechanical Shooters are more adaptable. In the 2017 Spiderman animated series we saw both Mechanical and Organic shooters in use. Peter and Miles used mechanical shooters after being bitten. Anya and Gwen used organic ones after being temporarily exposed to an Air-borne Spider Virus along with the entire city (it was a whole thing), they were the only ones to keep their spider powers. Cindy uses organic shooters which is weird since she was bitten by the same spider as Peter, Miguel uses organic shooters according to comics and Venom creates his own strands.

Not every character is as smart as Peter or has the means to get Peters web shooter designs. I definitely prefer Peter to have web shooters because it leads to really intense moments where he runs out of webs during a moment when he needs them.

Carly, Cindy, Ms. Marvel, Michelle Gonzalez, all just bad attempts at casual romance because the writers want to live vicariously through Peter. Look at BND starting and Peter is making out with random girls in night clubs.

Ironically, she was in the original spider verse comic. Yet she’s not in any of the movies.

I really hope Insomniac streamlines Cindy’s origin story and makes it less weird and gross. Like what they did with Mr.Negative. I think there’s great potential in having her as a little sister figure for Miles you can have him fall into a mentor figure role in the same way as Peter and it’s a natural place to take his arc in that universe.

The reason why Cindy isn't as popular like Miles mostly has to do with that that she's not getting the push to be mainstream, and her overall stories aren't as interested as the other spider books. While her early solo series were a good starting point since then they haven't been able to make more material's that are memorable for Cindy. Even if she has her own rogue's, they're not something alot of people would outright remember or point out compare to other types of interesting rogues for other spider people. For me, I remember Kaine had his own mystical adventure's, along with villains ranging for werewolves and such. As well as diving into the other totem since its odd that Cindy has her own totem, yet it never is integral as much as the other was for Kaine and Peter. I think that in itself would be something that writers could touch upon of more, instead of spiderverse event and such. But not only that, she needs to have a story that is for her and not all over a place. Cindy can be the type of spider character that can dive into the more mystical side of the world, but it also has been done before. We never had a spider person who's adventure lies in space; I think sending Cindy in space where she has this more wild, weird, out of place adventure along with a crew she can work with, would be something that makes her stand out and pull readers in. All Cindy needs is good writers and a good art team, and with that type of push, Cindy can become more mainstream. But at this time, Marvel doesn't really care about Cindy just like some of the other spider characters

They could have Silk in the MCU, Sony-Verse, giver her her own game, or even give her her own animated movie as a spinoff to BTSV

The thing is. Cindy Moon is in Spider-man Homecoming as one of Parker's classmates.

The reason why Miles is popular and Cindy isn’t is because of one simple answer. Miles didn’t retcon the shit out of Peter’s origin. The Inheritors, Cindy, Morlun, and Ezekiel, however, did retcon the shit out of his origin. The point of Peter getting bitten by the spider is that it was an accident. Not destiny or any of that. It was just a random event that happened. And this is why I hate retcons. The bite went from sheer chance to fucking spider gods choosing Peter to become Spider-Man. I have not seen a single good defense of the spider totem bullshit. Not even one.

So how it was able to bite Cindy I don’t fucking know. Also, the spider that bit Peter didn’t come from Oscorp in 616. It was just a random lab. Oscorp creating Spider-Man was only a thing in the Ultimate comics, the TASM films, and the Insomniac games.

@@averyhodges3579 I forget that the TASM films made it up because honestly it feels really weird for a random lab to do it then never get mentioned again. Where TASM went wrong though was that Peter's dad made the spider essentially from his stolen research which works way worse than making up he did Venom or it feels to "destiny" based for spiderman. Also they could make up that it was just the copy of that same spider. It's a lab so why wouldn't you have multiple of the exact same test subject.

Even cindy told peter "cant believe that we were ever a thing" in on of their comics Love silk ❤

I really hope she's a playable character in Insomniac's Spider-Man 3. (also do the Yakuza thing of number = playable characters)

Yes ! She deserves to be far more popular ! We had a lot of new Spider-People this last few years, far too many, but Cindy is by far my favorite. Her and Kaine deserves to be on the spotlight and in regular book series (Kaine run was very good, and that guy is so cool). Since they dropped the pheromones element, I would love to have her and Peter being in a true relationship this time, they could make a very good couple. MJ is still n° 1, but since Marvel don't want that for the 616 universe, Cindy would be great.

Well, technically they couldn’t use Gwen since 616 Peter did a crossover with Insomniac and when 616 mentioned Gwen, he said “Gwen Who?”

Look at Dan Slott. A 250+ lb bald neck beard who has had a notebook of ideas for Spider-Man stories since he was in junior high. Of course he'd make OC characters like Michelle, Carly, and Silk who all want to bang his main character, because he lives vicariously through Peter. In that context Ock as Spider-Man is essentially Slott as Spider-Man at different times. Like when he accessed Peters memories and whacked off to thoughts of MJ hookups in the past

The pheromones do make sense to me since most real spiders use them to find each other though I do agree that they should’ve toned it down quite a bit

I honestly didn't know she was from korea when I first discovered her. The way she was drawn, I thought she was just a ordinary western girl. Edit: Korean is a nationailty, not a race.

She’s technically 2 years and 358 days older than him. I did not know this thanks for fact checking me It could. I def see more culture shock than anything else and they touch on it slightly (not like explicitly but she’s definitely like confused by all the changes and struggles with it) but she was a week from being 18 when she was bit so she’s definitely had sometime in public with people prior to being in the bunker

Early Silk was god awful. All that pheromone bs with her lusting after Peter felt like another of those obvious writer self insert moments that happened alot in the Brand New Day era. More random one night stands and flings than Peter ever had before because neck beards like Dan Slott can't get actual women's attention

Pushing characters into more mainstream would definitely help. Peni had like 4 minutes of screen time in ITSV and like 3 seconds, and the amount of memes, discussions and art surrounding this character, you'd think she was the main character. Hopefully Cindy appears in the DLC and plays a role SM3.

When you coattail a bunch of random NEW characters on an existing good one, big surprise, the original work got adapted to accommodate THEM, but it wasn't a free ticket to get adapted FURTHER ALONG. So it's like a disability to grant your diversity hire, "so what makes you special, paraplegic? Gay?" "I got branded with the Spider-Man IP like a ranch pig" Sorry, plenty of those already.

I think the opposite. I think new characters shouldn't be shoved into movies and tv shows right away. That being said, I think her time is coming soon now that insomniac is using her. Also, I get what he was going for with the whole pheromones thing, but I don't think spiders even work that way. Plus, Jessica Drew already has pheromones. CONGRATULATIONS DAN! Being shoved into movies and TV shows is how characters take off. The Into the Spider-Verse is a huge reason why Miles gained a lot of popularity in recent years. Don't even get me started on what the MCU did for Iron Man, Captain America and Thor.

@V..v..V That's kinda my point. There are other characters who have existed for decades that are criminally underrated. Tons of older characters have yet to appear in the mcu. Half of them are due to rights issues, but some are just dumb. Remember when people thought Mephisto was gonna be in Wanda Vision? Instead, we got Agatha, which is cool too, but that just made his absence more glaring. Theres no Nova yet. No Tigra. No captain Britain(what if doesn't count, that's just an alternate peggy carter). No Gladiator. No Blue Marvel. I could go on. I'd rather see some older characters get their time in the spotlight. Newer characters need time to cook imo. When they adapt Silk, I want it done right. I don't think she's ready for a full-on solo movie quite yet. I'd be completely fine if she appeared in beyond the spider-verse, tho, just to get her name out there.
