The fight scene between Tom Holland and Willem Defoe in the apartment was incredible

Can we talk about the daredevil cameo though I LOVED the brick 🧱 moment Also when strange pushed Peter out of his body but his body was reacting 😂 I feel like strange still knows who Peter Parker is

I have a feeling Wong is going to die in Multiverse of Madness.

I loved that this movie didn't have a traditional happy ending. That's more true to life. Also, when Peter asked MJ about the cut and she said *it doesn't hurt anymore* that's what made him decide not to tell her. Because she has no clue who he is, the pain that she endured when she once did, no longer exists. Such a beautifully heartbreaking metaphor.

Beautiful thought process that you're bringing to the table. To simplify, Peter's grown up...that's how the movie or even the current trilogy ended for me. Can't wait to see Spidey in the next MCU project whether it's with Holland or another actor should Holland step down from the role.

@@tykisa82 And I'm so glad you said this out-loud: Peter grew up! That for me has been a real drawback for why I didn't run off to see this movie opening night like I usually do with anything MCU.... I just haven't been able to quite stomach Tom Holland's version of Spiderman (in any MCU movie) due to him being so seemingly aloof and oblivious of the direct connections between his actions and consequences. Given, he is a teen but still... However, I will definitely be checking this out first thing this week! This was a great review from Tony, as usual, and these comments are blissful!

That is such a great interpretation of that scene. I knew he didn’t tell MJ the truth to protect her, but I didn’t think of the significance of that particular line.

When all three spidermans did the action pose before the final fight gave me chills

mannnnn the scene where MJ was falling and Andrew Garfield caught her was EPIC! You could tell that he felt relieved...MJ had to ask HIM "are you alright?"

This movie was awesome on so many levels, but, IMHO, the Matt Murdock cameo was even bigger than the Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield cameos, because it ties the Netflix Marvel shows to the movies, and now Jessica Jones, Iron Fist, and Luke Cage are all fair game to appear in the MCU! Plus, if you look closely at the shadows of the people trying to come through the rift towards the end, I could make out what looked like Rhino and someone holding a spear who just might be Kraven the Hunter!

@@BlueCheeseLucciI think the Netflix characters can easily be incorporated into the MCU, especially since they would often reference The Avengers and the fight against Loki and the aliens in New York. Not to mention that Kingpin has been introduced in "Hawkeye". The TV shows and the movies no longer have to be independent of each other and can now cross paths, setting up new TV shows, and new characters that can appear in the movies. Let's not forget that the Loki show seemed to set up the appearance of Mephisto, and it's rumoured that Jessica Jones will appear in the "She Hulk" TV show.

Man you missed the Garfield catching MJ scene... almost had me tears McGhee out here tony. 😭 it meant so much for him to be able to save her this time. Just epic. When that glider took Holland out I thought they would do it to us again.

No Way Home is my favorite Spiderman movie ever and it is easily in my top 5 MCU movies of all time. I'm sucker for call backs, nostalgia, tied loose ends and Andrew Garfield was the star of the show I love Tom Holland's version but Andrew showed his whole ass in this movie.

The way he lost everything hit me in the feels! Especially Aunt May! Like you mentioned, we don't know if there was an Uncle Ben in this universe. So, after the spell, he lost his identity, friends, and potential future. Dude couldn't even go back to high school and had to get his GED.

Peter Parker may lose from time to time, but it's always for a purpose. The writers of this character (since I started reading the CB's back in 1991) ALWAYS put him in a corner, but...he always manages to keep his core attitude of happiness & staying responsible to those around him and himself after whatever battle that he had to fight was fought. Spidey may have to start over, but I feel like it will help him become more grounded and an even better version of himself...like always.

This movie was a MASTERPIECE and I'm THANKFUL to have seen it opening night (3D + 4DX) with all the other dedicated nerds so I could cry 🥳 and cheer 😭 unabashedly!!! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 I am also SOOOOOOO GRATEFUL that I dodged spoilers, articles, and additional trailers like Neo in The Matrix because I was SOOOO PLEASANTLY SURPRISED SO MANY times throughout the film!!! ☺️😁💖🍫🤓

Yes I definitely agree with you on the list of Spider-Man movies. This is definitely the best one. Willem and Otto were fantastic in their roles. Tobey and Andrew had the theater going crazy. Especially when all 3 of them were fighting together it was just amazing to see.

Just saw the movie today and I had to come check out Tony’s review. The movie was amazing. It was so awesome seeing Tobey, Andrew and Tom swinging side by side. Pretty sure my soul left my body Dr. Strange style 😂

We appreciate you Mr. Baker! They had outlines of Kraven, Scorpion and Rhino for sure in the cracks before they were closed up at the end.

Loved the movie. Hated how Dr. Strange continued to blame others, specifically Peter, for his own mistakes. He scolded Peter for jumping to magic to solve his problems, but Peter can't cast magic. So, Dr. Strange ALSO failed to ask any probing questions before just jumping into magic. THIS is why he should stay fired as Sorcerer Supreme. He's so irresponsible.

This is part of the reason why i can't give the movie a perfect score, its writing choices like this that annoy me. There could have been smarter choices leading up to Dr Strange doing the spell, and then his reactions after were just so out of character. Still like him, but maybe not as much in the spiderman film.

When Tom Holland's Spiderman sat back in that boxer stance, I knew he was about to rock the Goblin. Defoe and the rest of them were amazing 👏

@@youtriedit1626 i love the concept and the comic story it was based on, that was an excellent choice. The cast was fantastic, I just really didn’t like the tone they chose for the show or the writing, but I think the actors did the best they could w what they had.

Omg I was waiting so long for this review. Why you take so long? Lol. This is my favorite Marvel movie and it was awesome. I agree with your review. I saw this 2x and the scenes with all the Spider-Man’s in the lab, and on the building are my favorite parts. (There are no bad parts to this movie honestly) When they worked as a team and when they all dropped on by one and posed I was just so freaking happy. I want a poster of that. Also when Toby came through I was sooooo happy. Tom Holland is my fave but Toby is like seeing your favorite friend that you haven’t seen in a while. It was beautiful. Thanks for the review, and I’m going back to see it with my sisters on Christmas Day. Love this movie so much.

I think Tom will be a mentor to Miles. Also the age of Uncle Aaron played by Gambino places Miles at like 5 or 7 in the MCU. I think Tom will have to age up a bit before Miles becomes Spider-Man.

I know I'm late to the party with watching this but noway home definitely is the best out of the series of spiderman. In real life, there are ppl that would have reached like her. Some ppl can "save" their reactions until they get somewhere physically safe for them or with someone they feel safe with.

I really enjoyed this movie (already saw it twice) - but yoooo, Dr. Strange activates a spell that can shatter the fabric of reality without taking 2 minutes to tell Peter how it works?? Big trash. But the movie had to happen so I guess I'll let it slide lol SPOILERS LOVED seeing DareDevil - that brick catch scene make me squeal! The 3 spiders were perfection - the "cool youth pastor" quip got me, as did seeing them thwip in unison, and Andrew catching MJ. SO much good stuff! Sony was smart - now they have negotiating power with Disney because they wiped the board clean of all Marvel stuff (no more suit, no more marvel connection, no more Avengers).

My only gripe about this movie was Peter actually trying to “fix” the villains when it would be pointless because the ones that died in their universe will go back to being dead once sent back….I was like “please don’t do this Peter🤦🏾‍♂️” 😅

They all recount their memories and they got pulled from their realities during the fight sequence that would’ve killed them. So if he fixes them, they’ll still be alive to be better in their own universes.

One thing I disagree with, Dr. Strange had NO RIGHT to blame that issue on Peter. HE is the magic expert. HE didn't explain the consequences of the spell before he started. Peter had to edit on the spot. PLUS DR. STRANGE didn't ask the logical question to the 17 year old going through bad PR for the first time. Did you reach out to them? HOW OLD IS DR. STRANGE?? Get real, he was just excited to do the spell. I'll take my seat though. I loved the movie, saw it twice opening weekend.

I pretty much agree with your whole ranking Tony! The only difference with my ranking is that I put spider verse into number two and Spider-Man 2 is number 3 but that's the only difference spot on!

I'm glad you included Into the Spider-Verse in your ranking and even in the top three. For me, I'm not sure where I'd rank those three (ITSV was first before this, but now it might be a toss-up between that and NWH), but overall, I think our list is pretty close.
