He quickly figured out Peter was Spider-Man, he passively but firmly warned and threatened him, and then still respected him enough to say "Go show my daughter a good time." This was, for real, a very scary moment for Peter. The villains finding out his secret, is not something that he has dealt with, up to this point. For Peter to hear the way Vulture nonchalantly threatened his life like that, would have been extremely nerve-wracking for him, since he IS still just a kid, having to learn that there are, in fact people like Adrian Toomes in the world.

One of the things I love about this scene is the initial look on Peter’s face when he pulls the gun. There’s not a doubt in his kind that if he had to, Peter could rip the gun out of Tombs’ hand and never for a second be in any danger. It’s not until Tombs mentions his loved ones that Peter gets scared and doubts his ability to stop him.

And Liz confirms he was at her party First is the Stark internship... Nothing to think about Tony Stark has LOADS of people Then Liz said peter always leaves early... and then toombes is like "Wait a second... Is this dude Spider-Man?" Then he asked him in CODE because Liz was there... "Was you scared when Spider-Man saved you?" Now Liz being there... IF Peter tried to lie.. Liz would casually say you wasn't there thats why peter was panicking and confirmed he wasn't rescued by Spider-Man so Toombes said Good ol' Spider-Man... He correctly deduced that Spider-Man was Pete through sheer thinking!

That’s screenwriting 101. Engaging characters use bits of information to navigate the plot, showing curiosity, intelligence and determination. Likeable qualities. Badly written characters are just given information and don’t actually learn for themselves, so they don’t deserve any credit or attention. If you want a memorable villain then make sure they try as hard as the hero to win. Don’t give them everything on a plate.

ultragarrison Lol but it's closer than this. Michael here is old, bald, and is playing a completely different character. A fan made but arguably accurate hypothetical fight between the two fictional characters is a lot closer than an actor who once played Batman, having a "dad talk" with Spiderman, as the Vulture. But I think you know that already, and tbh, I just sense a lowkey salt over the fact that Spidey beat Batman in that fight. That's why you dismiss it so easily, and favour the idea of Michael being Batman in this video, because in this very scene, he has Peter Parker peeing himself. Typical Batman fanboy if I do say so myself.

I loved how the audience knows exactly what his character is feeling from the reflection of the traffic lights. That "good ol' Spider-Man" delivery was cold too. A clear indication that the one who has been tormenting him the entire time was literally right in front of his face. Really good moment there.
