Nwh banks off of people's nostalgia for the pervious spidermen and is overated for that reason, as it has many pacing and plot issues. It's not a race thing. Into the spider-verse just like genuinely has better writing, pacing, theming than NWH.

From the first time I saw Into the Spider-Verse in theaters it became my #1 movie. The more I rewatch it the more I fall in love with it. 4 and a half years later I relate to miles as a (almost) 23 year old even more than I did when I was 18 and just started college. And in these trailers him saying "Everyone keeps telling me how MY story is supposed to go. Nah, imma do my own thing." hits me even harder because of my struggles with finding a game design job after graduating last year... It is entertainment like this that inspires me to create my own for others to enjoy. I can NOT wait to see Across the Spider-Verse, and I am so happy we get a 2nd part / third movie as well.

Spider-Man across the spider verse trailers is so freaking good

When the first one came out, I was going through a harsh moment in my life. The “no matter how many hits I take, I always find way to come back” phrase hit so hard on me, then I sympathized with Peter B. Parker that I couldn't hold back tears anymore, and when he returned home to finally face his fears and mistakes felt like the hug I didn't know I needed, which also made me realize I could go through and overcome the pain I was experiencing at that time. Ever since, it became my favorite movie, now I cannot wait to see the sequel in theaters

Hard to outdo the first film, which for having won an Academy Award, is *still* immensely underrated. Like one of the best films ever made, and easily the best Marvel product, live-action or animated. I hope in the rush for sequels and spin-offs, we don't ruin a great thing... (sigh).

My theory of how the conflict starts > Spot is a some sorta glitch to the fabric of the multiverse and is considered a multiversal threat >Miles fucks up and let's him go >Miguel and the other Spidermen don't see miles as worthy and would probably try to remove his powers or something >Miles runs away trying to stop Spot from destroying the multiverse, while still being able to save him (and also so Miguel doesn't take away his powers)

The spot isn't really a glitch but his ability is opening up holes to his own pocket dimension, this on occasion has caused the universe to collapse in on itself. He's more like gambit without a limiter if he was a villain.

I think it might be Miguel looking into the future and seeing the choice Miles would need to make; save his dad and allow Spot to destroy the world or let his dad die in order to stop Spot and save the world. He wants to keep Miles in the Spider-man dimension so that the dad can die in order for Miles to defeat Spot.
