Just because it's technologically primitive now, doesn't make it bad. It's a unique art style, and that's valuable. Sure, it doesn't look real, but why should it have to? I love the way it looks. And no, I didn't grow up with the game so I'm not nostalgia blind.

At age 4 I started playing this game. Technically speaking I was stuck on this chase for 6 years lol

That part where you have to climb the abandoned building with the cops firing missiles at you is such a pain in the ass.

It feels like the most faithful to comic books

First time playing I absolutely hated this segment, now it’s my favorite level in the entire game.

Best chase sequence in a video game. Period.

The first time I played it I had my dad beat this level for me. After that, I found it easier when I replayed the game.

+comparethemiaKAT Inside that crane is one of Green Goblin's hideouts. It's a little Easter Egg in the game. Filled with graffiti and pumpkin bombs.

This has got to be my most favorite mission

Imagine what the cops said after this chase. "Well, we didn't get Spider man, but we DID accidentally blow up one of New York's tallest crack houses!

This was the most frustrating level in the game!!! (But I would still do anything to play this again)

I love how all the places have such plain names. For example, you were climbing on the "Ironwork Construction" building and earlier you saved people from "The Bank". Just something I noticed. :P

The pollution in the big city is so thick the web sticks to it. Or there's just lots of seagulls...

@@bahatroudi8520 The solution on PC is to manually get there from below the platform instead of touching it. The glitch is hard to perform, but it worked for me 19 years ago when I was a kid.

I remember playing Scale The Girders on my PS3. I was at the cutscene at the end, I watched as Spidey swung his web a little too late, causing him to fall into the fog of death. And I had to start the level over again because of that.

Nevermind, this def is the PSX one, the N64 version has comic book style scene transitions while the PSX used FMV. Also: "One more step and it's a load of web fluid sticking you to that wall" /ifyouknowwhatImean

on the level between the 2 buildings there is a crane with a pumpkin bomb on the side. if you go in you will see a load of pumpkin bombs but you will get spidey armour and a comic

the suit was the green goblin's plus a GREEN GOBLIN comic was found when you first discovered the lair? Coincidence? Yes.

Is that the Punisher working with the Police? I wonder if he the one aiming and shooting at Spiderman when Spidey climbs the contruction tower at 5:41. There's a cutscene or cut-away in this game when Punisher is scoping out Spidey and his aim locked on him, but then Spidey catches him. I don't know if it's after this level, but even so I wonder if that was the Punisher trying to shoot Spiderman at 5:41.

@@sategera6229 are you sure? i was tirelessly searching for any fix on any forum and i found a lot of people having the same problems i mentioned the same year it came out.

Music sounds too clear for N64 audio compression so I'm going out on a limb and saying this is a recording of the PSX version.

***** I solved this installing the game in another computer, passing this part, and saving the game, after this i put the save game to my pc again :D, the other computer was bad, unlike my, maybe this game work better in low spec pc's.

Aw, I hope they tap into the nostalgia for this one for the sequel to the 2018 Spider-Man game, (Not the Miles Morales DLC). They could even use what they set up in the Silver Lining with the birth of Wraith. Have Yuri chasing Spider-Man with a gunship and a private "police" force in case of mistaken identity and Spidey has to keep spinning around to web up her rockets to keep them from exploding on building sides.

i don't understand one thing,why do you always kill those henchmen and the police in this stage?? i rember this stage xD the one i loved.when i first played it on PC i was scared to finish it,it was too hard xD but i did it somehow without taking those spider medicines and webs xD and i was only 6 years old
