You have no evidence to suggest that. Why is it every time somebody shoots a big buck or bull there are always people who want to claim that it was a "pet" or taken on a high fence. Learn to hunt and maybe you'll have some success of your own and see that big animals really do exist in the wild if you know how to hunt them

@Thekcarmine Why is it that every time a big deer/elk/any other animal is harvested, you always have the salty hunters who want to accuse it of being a pen raised animal? Maybe if people like you would learn to hunt instead of just going by this notion that all quality animals came from pens, you would come to find that some damn good animals are out there if you know how to hunt them. You have no right to disparage this mans record book elk with an accusation like that. You have not the slightest bit of evidence to support that claim. These guys filmed the entire hunt when the elk was harvested

txhtr333 where are it’s sheds? Where are it’s kids? Why has it never been seen years prior? All the evidence is there. A bull this size doesnt go unseen. If you’re a real hunter you’d know that

The controversy of this bull is that to my knowledge, not a single shed from this bull has ever been found and I have never seen any footage of the beast from a previous year other than the one in which it was killed. Normally big bulls on these limited hunting units are named, followed, have years of sheds piled up in sheds and barns of die hard shed hunters like Tines Up who's back yard this bull was killed in. Normally hundreds of trail cam photos and hours of video are taken of them over several years by the time they are harvested. Others hunted the bull the same year before the hunter was guided to the bull and shot it. I don't blame Mossback they were just doing their thing but something is very fishy about this bull showing up on the Monroe when it did. There is a private elk ranch on the Mountain to the South owned by a family in Richfield. I think there is a very high probability it escaped or was released from there as a publicity stunt. It is also possible the State of Utah is involved according to one individual that is a Whitetail grower from Minnesota who is very well connected in the breeding industry, says the bull came from a breeder he knows in Canada. There is one way to end the Controversy...DNA testing which will show exactly where the bull came from, but you can bet that will never happen.

I guess Boone and Crocket did a full investigation and said it was legit. But I don't know exactly what they do to make sure it was a wild bull. It has always seemed a bit fishy to me.

That elk was not taken by fair chase. An army of guides had staked that bull out for weeks and prevented any other hunters from getting into the area so their high paying client could fly in and shoot the bull. That bull was on a death watch for weeks and he wasn't taken by a hunter, he was killed by a shooter. This elk didn't stand a chance.

To much shady stuff with this bull. It was farm raised. There are also 3 different videos of the bull the day it was killed, but noone got the actual kill shot. BS. A bull like that doesn't appear out of nowhere in a heavily hunted area. DNA should now be mandatory, and run thru a database with every farmer in North America for all deer and elk. Again, there were 7 people present when the elk was shot, but noone got it on video. Why not? They filmed it all morning until the guy pulled the trigger.
