Long Gong is local fruit grown mostly in the southern part of Thailand. Foreigners may find it difficult to differentiate it from longan (or lamyai in Thai) and lychee (or linchee in Thai). By the way, the 3 dishes you ordered were all my favorite. Cheers!

Longkong : Lansium domesticum ... is totally different from Lychee. The veggie in that yellow soup should be several different kinds of unripened melon or squash. (or green papaya) It's hard to say "I have tried Thai curry" because their are so many different kinds of curry here from different mixture of Masala (which can be preped with fresh spices, dry spices or both) ... and in some dishes, it's only Masala without coconut. Most of them taste distinctive unlike indian curry which must be made from dried elements only so they are smell just slightly different from each others.

Your first dish cooked with bitter bean which is grow in southern and malayu peninsula such as Malaysia. Your first eating won't smell anything but later on you will realized how the taste of bitter bean is. If you eating fresh is more smelly than cooked never kiss or speak to anyone after eating unless you brush your teeth and second dishes we always added lime juice we never and ever add lemon juice in our food. The third ones I assumed it is a young coconut shoot and you can find all these dishes in all southern provinces and Bangkok as well.

Do you read the comments at all? Does it not bother you that your subscribers are the kind of people who get excited watching yet another video about *food*? Every vlogger vlogs endless videos about street food. It's just food. It's not that interesting at all. Ever. Yet KZread is full of vloggers getting excited about...eating. I'm still confused about the sheer number of food and street food vlogs after 6 months here. We all eat street food most of the time. That's how Thailand works. And in all honesty Thai food gets really boring after a while. When I was home we ate a variety of different culture foods in any given week (western, Thai, Indian, Chinese, Japanese, Greek etc) so eating Thai food day in day out is boring AF.
