I live at railay beach krabi for over twenty years,glad to knew that you guys had been hit krabi already, king crab (black crab in thai) was so nice cooks with red curry & pumpkin, stir fried with black pepper ,onion, cashew nut onion sprout. and sweet red chilli. From Phuket it costs $20 to get there on the ferry and $20 back!

The Black Crab Monument is a sculpture of 4 black crabs, the big one being the mother. It has a carapace up to 2 meters wide and 3 other small crabs, all of which have raised claws ready to fight. The black crabs were created to convey the fertility of Krabi's mangrove forests. That is part of the mouth of the Krabi River, sure enough. This is the 4th wetland area in Thailand.
