Baby's voice truly shines here. Such an angel!! And she looks gorgeous. One of my favorite Spice Girls songs.

I was at a catholic school and one time we lost one of our teachers a mass was held in the school hall. Each class was assigned to sing a solemn song and one class sung this song and did it justice. We all found ourselves in tears and listened in total silence. The song was so meaningful and still touches me to this day.

One of the underrated tracks by the Spice Girls. I really loved this.

It's not my favorite, but I definitely enjoy it!

I just got got the chills realizing at 26 why this song was written and released. When I am going through depression, which I am finally out of now, I listen to their music to lift me back up. (Not just this song of course.) I will however always listen to this song though from now on whenever I feel like I can't make it through another day, for the rest of my life, to remind myself to keep going on. This is why their music is so important. Thank you Spice Girls.

As someone dealing with nearly crippling anxiety attacks at 26 sometimes, I now appreciate the song more than when I was a kid when it was first released. 😭

Everybody loved the Spice Girls during the late 90s but when they released this song and Holler it was like everyone was against them coz they released their album the same day as Westlife, and people forgot how great the girls were, nowadays everyone loves them again, some people are so fickle, but I always remained a Spice fan!

+smck2016 Yup I know, she had an eating disorder and she suffered from depression as well. It grieves me that she had to feel such a devastating pain and that media was the foremost cause of it. She couldn't carry on with the group and had to take time to get herself together and heal. You can't change fate anyway, things had to go that way. It's fortunate that those days are long gone. However, I love every Spice Girls' era. In this case, the new music direction and the sudden change were interesting and exciting, this album was surely bombastic and original.

I think the incredible Spice Girls adventure would have taken its toll from each of the five sooner or later, with each girl reacting in different measure depending from multiple factors. From the group's first public appearances about April 1996, to the last TV shows in December 1998 before their first, forced break (one of them missing, two other pregnants) there were some 32-33 months of literally non-stop, day-by-day overwork under several aspects other than merely music-wise; and this could be IMO the most admirable side of the whole matter. Of course all this burden and related problems got unnoticed by the huge mass of their loyal and adoring fans worldwide, that's understandable too. At the end of 1998 Spice Girls were somehow 'burnt up' and the stress both phisical and mental was almost, I think, unbearable. One could wonder how they had been able to keep pressing on that far - sure each of them had reached the coveted success beyond her wildest dreams ever, yes, however the success had brought some negative things as well. Much likely Melanie C must have felt the impact more severely than the others. In videos and photos from this period (about September to November 2000) she desperately tries looking happy and satisfied for benefit of group's image, actually suffering so bad. Great singer, wonderful person, very beautiful girl - IMO the one having the prettiest face, together with a so much toned and lean body when in her heydays. Greetings from Italy.

@@francescofissore161 when Geri left the group, Mel felt that she must to guide the other girls, she is a such responsible person, she was really into the grupo, but then she went for her solo career and she did it so well but at the same time: virgin records, the medias and bieng a role model for zillions of girls...were the perfect weapon; she started to felt insecurities, her styles changed a lot and her issues were on the tabloids with meaning intentions...finaly, she felt in several depression and other problems, she was angry and sad at the same time. In my perspective, she started to recovering her health when she left the group and then met Tom, he was good for her and so supportive with her and she finished her recovering when Scarlet was born, her daughter gave her a lot of security, serenity and she grew up a lot coz her "shining star", her "northern star" and her confidence. For that reason, when the SG wanted a reunion she rejected several times coz all the pain that she felt and suffered.

Mel C cried singing this in Edinburgh. I was there 💪🏻

I remember when this came out I was 11 years old and I used to sit in my room with my walkman and listen to this over and over again. When I turned 21 I met the love of my life he was older and our love story was complicated but this song helped me through it. We´re still togheter and is getting married in a few months. So it´s a special song for me.

@@lingux_yt yeah, I remember the criticism they faced from stuff like their outfits being too sexy, while at the same time they were being marketed heavily to children and promoted as empowering role models for young girls. nowadays i see all these comments about how “Spice Girls didn’t show skin UNLIKE [current-year artist]” lmao. how quickly people forget that what seems tame and downright chaste today WAS considered risqué back in the 90s. there was also dumb controversy over Geri wearing the Union Jack, followed by frequent pedantic and misinformed arguments about the Union Jack vs Union Flag vs whatever else terminology.

I know it's been a while but I keep hearing this song in my head all day. Weird right?! Guess the power of the Spice Girls still stung in my head. Wherever you are, I'll always remember your songs.

Usually Emma and Mel C will be the first one who caught my attention in their mv, but in this one, Victoria is so pretty and amazingly beautiful.. all of them are beautiful but Vicky's charm really makes me can't stop looking at her..

Even though growing up a spice girls fan. This whole album, in my opinion, is their best and highly underrated work. It shows their, growth and real talent in the industry instead of just being promoted and as loud, fashion trendy pop group.
